Hi,
If spouse is not working what do we put under current occupation ?
Also for main applicant do we need to mention the occupation as per the NOC
for eg: in my case I am working as a product marketing manager so should I write Product marketing manager or should I write Professional occupations in advertising, marketing and public relations

Thanks in advance

Regards
Arjun Singh
If your wife is not working, you can write N/A.
Also, you should mention your current job title in your occupation not as per NOC.

Brother kewlCanada,

U r right...all are sharing their views here... :)

No offense... :) I guess no body is taking these discussion personally...:)

Just in addition with this---In general, for 2011/2013, there is a bit difference in this time---that is --CAP LIMIT-1000 and the NOC COUNT-50

Pray for each other...:)
What was the Cap Limit in 2011 and 2013?

Sorry i am posting my query again but i had to. I know Century you responded but needed much in detail to help myself get ready with te explanations and required documents in place. Also please suggest me on the same how should i prepare when placed a query by CIO
Kolin, Ashif, Goku, Century and seniors need your help on these
1) In my bank statement i showed CAD 17000, however in Schedule 3 - IMM0008 form in question number 11, Assets i declared CAD 14720 (thinking this was the amount what CIO has asked for). Will this create any issues?

2) My main application NOC is 2174 as per previous company experience.
In Schedule 3 - IMM0008 form, question number 12, Work experience, i have given the following details
12-a) Occupation: Software Developer // NOC: 2174
12-b)
- Current company - Till Date - Software Tester [NOC-2173]
- Previous Company - to and from date - Software Developer [NOC- 2174]

For 2173 50 % of roles match my reference letters
For 2174 90% of roles match my reference letter

So my question is as i am applying under NOC 2174, will they refer only reference letter related to NOC 2174 or also they will consider 2173 reference letter. If they refer 2173 NOC they match only roles of Tester and management roles
Will there be any queries, if so what?

3) In new generic Form, I kept current occupant as of Current company designation and Intended occupation also the same. But the NOC which i am applying is of with previous year designation. Will this be a problem? Will there be any queries, if so what?
1. For your 1st query, I am not sure what did you mean. If you say that you showed 17000 in bank statement and claimed 14000 settlement fund, it is OK. If you say, you showed assets as 14000, still there will not be problem as many don't clearly understand the difference between assets and settlement fund. Note that Assets = Settlement Fund + other properties including cars, jewelry, apartment, etc.

2 For issue 2, it is no issue. At worst case, they might not give any points for the experience against NOC 2173 as it does not match many of the responsibilities of NOC2173.

3. For issue 3, generic form is telling your intended occupation as 2173; the schedule 3 is telling it as 2174. Which one is correct? If they cross check with generic form and schedule 3, there could be major problem. I don't know whether they will crosscheck or not and if the do so, which one will get preference.

I am really sorry to push your panic button and for not knowing any resolution.

There are other NOC code applicants whose applications were received in or around May 1-5. Isn't that so?
