I have a question regrading the form - IMM0008ENU_2D- Generic Application form

In the latest form the point4 (Immigration office requested..) has been deleted now, does that mean we are not going to mention the immigration office now?

my second line was updated on 4th sept, and PER recieved on 8th Aug, no MR yet, I am from NDVO and it looks like Visa Office is not keen on giving MR.

How to get DD in Canadian dollars? I am an Indian.

Demand Draft has to be drawn in Canadian dollars only.
For Principal Applicant DD amount is CAD $550.
DD should be drawn in favor of "THE RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA" payable at Canada.
This fee is for application processing charged by Canadian Govt.
This fee is non refundable unless your application is returned due to CAP limit or if you disqualify as per immigration
officer assessment.
Demand draft can be drawn from any Bank which offers foreign exchange services (FOREX).
Drafts from Co-operative banks and Thomas Cook are not accepted

I prefer taking it from HDFC or HSBC

First line is displayed after Data Entry, the step following Cost recovery at CIO. This is when an electronic file is created in GCMS. PER, AOR and file transfer don't trigger a CAS update.

Second line appears when the assigned IPA opens file in GCMS and begins processing it by initiating document verification and criminality check. Upon completion he/she sends MR.

Third line appears when medical results are received and approved by CIC. Then IPA launches security check.

Fourth line appears upon completion of security checks and final determination of admissability and eligibility by IPA. As a result an applicant generally receives PPR.

hi mate....
generally people r getting medicals within 11-13 days after processing started,
if not then till date all r waiting (NDVO only)
reasons and steps :-
1. they have agencies (private) for background checks.
2. if Visa officer finds anything suspicious then file is transferred to above mentioned agencies.
3. once background check is finished by private agencies then they (NDVO) may call for interview, may send medicals or decision made (case rejected).
4. NDVO have targets to be completed before express entry.
5. files which need background checks r large in number and r in Que...

the above mentioned info. is jst my view point....it could be wrong..,,(my cousin is immi. lawyer in canada, and this is as per his info)

Is this the numer of applications received and just quickly browsed through for completeness (which would explain why this is only an estimated numer) while the real numer of applications may be much higher, or are these applications thoroughly checked for completeness and cashed? I'm asking cause sometimes people ask whether the cap is reached when according to the table there are only 300 applications in their NOC.
