If I pay by card online; what document shall I send as a proof?

On paying online you will get a receipt. Print it and write your application number details by pen on the receipt and courier this along with other documents to VO.

Suggestions needed from friends / seniors

I got married last week and want to add my spouse as dependent accompanying. I am still waiting for my marriage certificate and related documents (expected to receive before weekend).

When and what should I intimate VO / CIC about the status change ? and what other steps I need to take in the meanwhile to reduce delays.

Is it date of MR..??

if that is the case, then people who are waiting for their stamped visa will effectively get much less time than 1 year to find a job in Canada, and to settle down..

Or does the 1 year validity visa start date is from date of stamping the visa..??

Hi VR8,

The one year or less time is not to settle its the duration during which you need to land.. After landing you will get actual PR Card.. Similar to Credit Card 8) As per CIC website you can get PR Card in 3 to 4 weeks after landing.. You do not have to apply separately for PR Card.... Though you will have to apply for SIN similar to SSN in USA or can say Adhar card of India which will be unique number for you in Canada for your whole lifetime.. To settle down there is no limit of duration.. That's why they ask for proof of fund.. And the PR Card is valid for 5 years generally and if you will live 3 years (1095 Days) in past 4 years then you can apply for citizenship.. So, if your MR is done on say Yesterday (1st Dec 2014) then you can land on 30th November 2015.. Offcourse no one will wait for the last day but I have just explained to clear the confusion that its about landing not settling..

I got a call from some unknown landline number (+91 1400 911 665) today morning at 9.30AM. I missed the call as I was on my way to office.
Could this be from NDVO for background verification?

I received my PER on 22th October and my E-CAS status shows – ‘We received your application for permanent residence on June 25, 2014.

Glad to share that I received the golden mail yesterday. SS has been updated now.

Points to note:

I and my spouse have submitted self affidavits instead of BC.
My highest degree is MBA however as I knew that WES will not list it as recognized so I only got my B.E. evaluated, however attached my MBA mark sheets.
I used only a reference letter signed by a colleague and forgot to mention the date on the letter.

Well dis is a telemarketing number as it starts with +91 140....check on truecaller, somebody should have reported dis as a spam or something..it wil give a better picture.

I did try true caller but they don't have this number listed I believe.
