Hello Aduni,

You can always check your status as long as you have your Unique Client Identifier (UCI). You will see the number in one of the email communication from AVO to you.

If you have the number, do visit http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/status.asp?s=1 and click on check application status and then follow the instructions. Once your information is loaded, click on "in process" to see the updates.

You cannot get all your pension contribution when immigration, however you can access 25% provided you are out of Job for 6 months

In addition, you can also begin to asses the rest when you hit retirement age or your dependents get it if you pass on. There is no provision in the pension act for cashing out due to immigration. That one is your own 'cup of tea' as people would say
