Hey Kingsley,

I learnt so too... Based on the updates on the GCMS Notes, is there any reason for the delay so far?

I had no delay. But from the report, I saw the reason why they requested for the hospital birth certificate and immunization cards for my children. The BC submitted (NPC) was delayed- received them not immediately they were born. Needed to confirm if the date of birth is not doctored. I also discovered that my lawyer did not submit my PCC, hence the request for a new PCC. This i also think accounted for the reason why my security check has not commenced against the due date of March 2015. It also showed that my application is in the document stage and due for review on 14 October 2015. By this time, they would have received all the requested documents. Mine is a 65 page document.

Hi Lolesky, I sent you a PM.

Hello Flosure.
Long time and how are we?

Thanks lolesky and kingsley john.

Good morning House,

Please I need some guidance. I am a part of the recent batch that got recently the TLU - medical received. I also just added my spouse (we got married recently)....Now I was in a meeting this morning, only for me to return and I saw I missed calls from the AVO - they actually called 4 times. I have tried to call back severally but its been impossible. Please what are my options?...Has anybody in the house had similar issues?...I need guidance on how to handle this.

Then does anyone have an idea of why they could be calling?.....I asked just maybe in the past anyone has received such calls from AVO...From the little I know about the process, I always taught most correspondents are always via e-mail...Do they conduct interviews via the telephone?.....I will await a response. Thank you.

How did you know the call was from AVO? And yes visa offices conduct telephone interviews, but am not sure about Accra. And there r times they call to confirm some details. This happened to an Asian applicant.

Which line was used to call you or do you have their number stored already? I received a call this morning from +44780... but the line cut off before I could pick it. I didn't bother to cal back until I read ur post and it seems to be an official line as it placed me on hold with a male voice for about 3 minutes before asking me to drop a voice message. Is that your experience as well? Seniors kindly shed more light, am not sure who the caller is

Applied: 22 August 14
Received at CIC: 27 August
PER Received: 18 Dec 2014
Application transferred from Singapore to Manila – 21 Jan 15
PCC submitted to Manila – 19 April 15
MR request – 28 August 15
MR Done: 3 Sep 15
RPRF Paid: 6 Sep 15.
Passport Request: Awaited.

I got a phone call from manila immigration on 16 Oct (which was surprising ) that they have not received the e-medical report of my younger son (4 yrs old), while for me,my wife & elder son they have received it. I immediatly went to the hospital who confirmed me that they have already forwarded his medical report on 4th sep, which was one day after I did the medicals. I got the e-medical report copy from the hospital and have forwarded through email to them. I do not know whether that is sufficient for them.
Is there any way to know whether they have received it ? I am worried because i read that few of them got a email that their application was rejected because immigartion did not receive the medical report in time.
Any phone number where I can call and check with them or I need to wait for their further instructions.

So, the call might be to clarify some things about ur spouse, but I doubt it being an interview after MR.

@Guyman,
Thanks a lot. They called with a Ghana line +233...... Thanks for that post, I have tried to call back on the same line, spoke to a customer service person, but immediately she transferred me to the immigration unit, no pick up. So I guess I will have to wait and hope they call back. I am thinking of also checking with my hospital, just to be sure all my medical results have been spent. This thing is stressful I beg. God have mercy...lol, thanks a lot.

Ghana phone code is +233. So I doubt if your call came from Ghana. That looks like a UK phone number. Your information is not also clear. Who placed u on hold, is it a computer auto voice or an actual person? And did they inform you where the call came from. E.g " we are calling from cic please hold" ?

I would also suggest you raise a cse and notify them of the missed call, then u ask if they need any clarification. If not , they might put your application in another long queue before they get back to you.

I know about the codes but I have sometimes received calls showing funny codes and in this waiting stage, one must not over rule any possibility. The call was placed on queue with an auto answering machine and I did not hear anything CIC. I also do not have any link with UK companies. It shall be well in the end.

Fellow COPA ;D ;D

Maybe it's telemarketing.

The eagle has landed...

I have been a silent follower of this forum for a year now and I have learnt a lot after I commenced my Canadian Immigration journey.
I choose not to comment but just read, laugh and learn from people's insight...
I guess it is time to come forward and testify of God's goodness...I am yet to fully grasp the reality that I now have my immigrant visa and COPR.
the Journey started with my application being received on Sept 24. 2014 (I have been procrastinating applying for 7 years;thank God I did just at the nick of time with my wife) ;)
I got PER January 8 2015 and following was the 6 months plus wilderness waiting for MR(July 16th 2015) :o
One thing was key in this journey-You will learn patience, the canadian way :'( but it is worth the experience.
I got info on proof of fund in Aug 4 and the glorious email of approved visa and PPR on Aug 24th.
However, it wasn't that smooth as There was error in our application and risked being denied visa...failure to tick appropriately on our travel history. >:( Thank God who gave us wisdom to handle the challenge well for we overcame! ;D
DHL also brought in their "wahala" at pickup stage and apprehension was high as delay was experienced in picking up our docs.
Finally, we got the visa and COPR sha...all glory to God and thanks to insightful reviews here.

For all those still waiting, hang on...it is the way to go, but it will surely happen and you will all laugh last.

God bless you all, God bless the land of the free!
