my FSW 2013 application was received by SGVO on aug 24th i guess and still under que for initial review (they emailed this status couple of months ago)....

now, i want to close the credit card that i used for pay the application fees (CIC charged the fees back on May 26th i think).

Can i cancel the credit card? is there any further requirement of keeping the credit card active?........

thanks.

hmm frustrating reply from SGVO, but being frustrated, we can not achieve anything. except praying what other things might help us are- putting pressure through mail.
Lets write mail to minister, prominent immigration consultants, media persons. highlight two things
1. not keeping the promise made by minister of processing in a year and ask what could be the solution even financial fine for CIC as they failed to keep the timeline.
2. Discrimination. others are getting visa, we are left behind. only SGVO is slow.
3. also highlight formal query did not produce any result except formatted/cliche mails.

lets hope for the best

Rajib vai ur idea is right and logical. Seriously its not the way to expedite our files being frustrated. Only continuous pushing by any means can do something. And Rajib vai's idea may bring some changes if we can execute in a massive range i.e.: all of the SGVO applicants write to the proper concern.

Now the thing is- we have to point out/gather the email addresses of this concerns.

So to rajib vai and all SGVO applicants--> please arrange sometime from our hand to search the right email addresses, write to those addresses and share this to the forum.

The reply from SGVO, it sucks.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in Singapore.
Your application was received in Singapore on 16 Dec 2013 and is currently in a queue awaiting initial review.

Files in the Federal Skilled Worker category are processed in order of receipt, based on the date on which the complete application and fee payment were received in our office. Once the file has been reviewed, we will contact the applicant directly to advise the result of the initial review and/or any next steps in the processing of the application, such as whether an interview will be required. If your address or contact information changes during processing, you must inform this office in writing.

Processing times to finalization may vary depending on the number of new applications received and the individual complexity of each application. For the processing times of permanent resident applications in Singapore, please refer to the CIC website at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp
Please note that processing times are calculated from the date the application is received by the Singapore visa office.

Still no update kabayan... Hoping to get update next week... January 31 and February 3 are holiday (Chinese New year)...

Back to home....

was really free from all anxieties with the natural beauties of Malaysia.. ;)

Again started the tension. No news yet from SGVO ...

Inshallah coming February gonna bring some good news to us.. :)

CIC has sent me a reply upon the query of processing time at SGVO for FSW13:

When placing any enquiries you should always provide the following information:

· Applicants full name as per passport
· Date of Birth
· UCI# (if known)

The above-listed information allows the receiving office to conduct a proper search of their records.

We cannot comment on files not held at our office. If your file is with Singapore you will have to contact their office for assistance in this matter.

Thank you,

JT

Client Service Unit

And i replied the following:

Good day!

I understand that my file is with Singapore VO but we the applicants who has sent Case Specific Inquiry to Singapore, all of them has received the same reply that " Your file is in a queue for initial review".

Even the applicants of May/June/July whatever the application received date everyone has same reply. Its been 9 months that our application has not started to process by any Visa officer! which is really frustrating to us. We are getting panic if SGVO failed to keep the commitment of 1 year processing time made by CIC.

We are informed about the other applicants status from an online forum at which peoples from all over the world come together.

As their is no positive attitude/response has not received from SGVO yet, I have made a query to you directly. Now your activity/action in this regard is expected.

Best Regards,

This table can be attached with emails to minister and SGVO. This is a list of applicants received MR in terms of Visa offices. This is based on quick pivot table from FSW 2013 worksheet.
Feel free to suggest.
