Is VSF best option to send passport to CIC for visa stamping at NDVO? SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN PROCESS. is it must to send expired passport with new one if application sent with old passport?

I am going for medicals tomorrow.

Guys please help confirm if I am correct below regarding my MR+RPRF request,

For Medicals I have to got hospital in appointment time with
1. Print out of IMM1017 for me and my wife. (The email actially asks for IMM1017E, Is it the same as IMN1017?)
2. Original Passport and 2 set of photocopies covering front and back Bio page for me and my Wife.
3. Four recent passport size photographs of me and my wife.

I will get a receipt confirming completion of meducals from hospital for both of us.

Then I have to take DD of Rs.26,700 x2 = Rs.53,400 favour of "Canadian High Commission" or "Receiver General for Canada" payable at New Delhi.

After this I will have to send the,
1. Medical receipt
2. DD
3. Passport photocopies and
4. print out of the request form pdf file I got from CIC

along with cover letter if needed to NDVO.

Please correct if I am wrong.

Also the CIC request letter the first item is UCI Number followed by my Name, Is thiis the request letter in PDF format or something else?

My Ecas status changed to decision made today (sunday). But I haven`t recieved passport request 2 till Now. My time line is; visa office-new delhi; app filed -5-june-2013; med req- 3rd of july 2014l; me done 14 th july 2014; rprf dd encashed- july 25th 2014; decision made- 16/11/2014. but no PPR2 till today. i am so worried . Guys please advise me on this matter; I really need ur help; god please shower ur blessings on us...

Hi, my wife was expecting a child hence differed her x-ray for the medical performed in IOM Lahore . Now she is in usa along with the baby and needs to undergo medical in LA.
How much is the medical cost in USA?
Would my wife need to pay again?

It's the same (assuming you meant "IMM" the second time, not "IMN"), the "E" stands for "English" (these forms are also available in French)

Written on the envelope where you send everything... Right by the senders' name, place your UCI number. This will help them route the incoming envelope to the right case quicker.

Re: Background checking cases from prior years - NDVO in particular

Hi all, I have a specific question for those who might be aware of 'Background Checking' cases of FSW 2013, in particular for NDVO.

Post PER some of the flies at the designated VO are selected for background checking. Would be great if anyone could share specific case experience of the same from previous years. Below are some questions that I need answers for:

1- How much longer time did the background checking application take in comparison to the similar date applications which did not go through the background checking at NDVO?

2- Are you aware of the specific checks conducted by the outside vendor e.g. employment reference check with past or present employers or financial declaration check at banks or educational details being checked at universities etc. to name a few?

3- If you are aware of any specific positive or negative outcome of the background checking, please share the same. It goes without saying that I am more keen on the positive results.

Please share ONLY if you are aware of a particular case; guessing generally doesn't help much, so kindly refrain from the same.

PS - Some of us have had the second line updated in ECAS regarding processing of our application at NDVO from early September but things haven't moved, so reached out to NDVO only to get a standard response (below):

"Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi.

Under Canada's immigration legislation, all immigrant applications are subject to statutory requirements, including medical and background checks. These requirements must be satisfied before an applicant may be granted permanent resident status. In this context, certain background investigations are being conducted in connection with your application. As these investigations are conducted by outside agencies, we have no purview over the processing time. We are therefore unable to give an exact time frame in which we expect to conclude the verifications on this case.

For now, there is no action required on your part. Please be assured that as soon as the checks are completed the next steps in this application will be determined. Until then, we will not be able to provide any additional information on this case."

A few folks are getting their CGMS notes, but it has been said that too might not really give any additional information. Just thought of sharing a few things that we guys are already thinking about.

should i raise query to NDVO? wht do u suggest?
