Hey hi islandbabe,
yes you are absolutely right, do not know why NDVO delayed so much to finalized my case. what is happening with my case is not understandable?
I will send you my detail time line. please check your inbox.
Aimer, i suggest you needa check through email or phone. MR should have already been issued couple of months ago. But still i would stick to - they have their own criteria, not know exactly to anyone, based on catgory, country, VO n bla bla bla

hello!

i need some advise....
i just posted i that i got my MR, PCC and passport copy request recently, Oct 28.

They gave me 30 days for them to receive it all together.

However, in MR instruction, i can do the medical for standard 60days..
and i am having a cough right now due to change in weather.
i am thinking of clearing first my cough beyond the 30 days..
and just submit other required docs..

but how about the 30days that they gave?

need your advise....

thank you..
First - You have 60 days for medical but need to send all other soones and within 30 days. Eeven they ask to send medical in 30 days, if possible, but do have 60 days.
I dont think seasonal cough is least issue, even then if you are worried, get appointment from IOM accordingly.

Dear forumites,
I would like to inform you that I landed yesterday at Toronto Pearson International Airport, on the eve of my birthday. The landing experience was quite smooth, with all officers friendly and helpful. In fact, the lady who signed my CoPR was so charming that I nearly asked to take her out for dinner later that evening. Whole process took about 1 hour of which 45 minutes was spent standing in the queue. A few basic questions were asked to confirm whether my marital status had changed, whether I have been charged with a serious crime subsequent to me receiving the CoPR papers from the VO, and whether I have any dependants. The process at customs was equally painless and quick. Promptly took a taxi to my accommodation. Temperatures were at zero, but Johannesburg and Cape Town do get equally cold in winter at times so it was nothing new.
To all still waiting - I got my fingers crossed for you and I hope you all make it.
Lastly, thank you once again to the forumites for the invaluable and free advice that I got throughout the duration of my application. From the initial preparation stages right through to the landing - I thank you!!!!!

hi Obryan first of all congrats. as i see your timelines, i find a difference. i got my 4th line added "decision has been made, an officer,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,". but still i have not beed asked to submit passports, any clue?
Hi and thanks.

If you are a citizen of a visa exempt country (i.e. you don't require a visa to visit Canada), then they won't ask for your passport since they won't need it to put in a visa. Instead, they'll just mail your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) directly to you.

If you do indeed need a visa, then I suspect they just haven't got around to asking for it as yet. Don't worry, they should soon enough.

Congratulations on the completion of your journey. You are now a Canadian permanent resident!

Why didn't you just ask, if even for the heck of it, LOL.

It is not advisable to do email again and again to know status as it will waste their time and indirectly affect processing time of my application.
By phone they are not allowed for such type of inquiry.
I regularly checking email every day, every hour, every few mins.....
Yes you are right they have their own criteria and application received at particular VO, complexity of application etc.....

Lets hope for the best, GOD always do fair. He knows every thing.

So now a days I have only one option and that is just waiting, it is the only thing which is in my hand, rest of the thing depends on almighty......

Dear Forum Members,

I am May 23 ' 13 applicant. I have been a regular but silent visitor of this forum since. I have finally received MR yesterday and have a few queries.

1. I have been asked for Medical, RPRF, IMM5406E form and PCC from UAE. I submitted the later 2 before as well and I have been asked again so is it normal? Plus my wife has been in UAE for only 4 months and for PCC, 6 months stay is necessary so what should I do in this case?

2. I want to undergo medicals so can anyone guide me on which medical facility to opt in Dubai? Because I heard that e-enabled medical facilities are quicker so please guide me of any in Dubai and also if someone can tell me medical expenses for 2 in Dubai from prior experience.

3. I have been asked to submit RPRF online through cc but I cannot find any direct link for online payment of cc and only a form comes up like before where cc details need to be manually filled and form to be printed and sent to LVO. Also can I submit IMM5406E form and PCC online? I mean are scanned copies acceptable or do I need to send these documents via courier?

4. After submission of documents, what will be the next step and any approximate idea on how long will the process take since I need to plan a few things accordingly.

I would really appreciate an insight into my queries from senior members. Btw my VO is LBM so May 2013 applicants with LBM might be getting some updates soon :)

1. It is normal. Write a letter to LVO explaining that your wife has only resided in UAE for 4 months with dates and hence PCC is not required for her.

2. Health bay polyclinic has good reviews.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medicalinfo.aspx?CountryID=2033&CountryName=United%20Arab%20Emirates

3. You can pay RPRF online by credit card using the following link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/result.asp?lob=proc&cat=perm
After paying, you can download the pdf receipt emailed to you, print, fill your details on it by pen, scan it and then email the scanned receipt to LVO.
PCC has to be sent original. Filled Forms can be scanned and emailed to LVO

4. PPR 1 should be the next step followed by PPR 2.
PPR 1: Passport bio page copy request.
PPR 2: Original passport request.
There is no specific time length on the process.
