Hi Everyone,

3rd line, Medical results have been received, added to ECAS as of today. Admins please update in global ss. Now waiting for PPR. Hopefully it will come soon.

Good luck and best wishes to all forum members in this journey.

P.S. If everything goes well and got the visa, it seems like at earliest I will be landing on Toronto by November. Do you guys think landing in winter time wise with a wife and a 7 months old baby? First time in Canada at the beginning of winter. It doesn't encouraging. Can you please share your thoughts?

Hi Buddy,

I dont want to discourage you. I feel you should be ready for a Canadian November if you plan landing in winter. Most of the people who went to Canada suggest that we land in summer, as during that season we can be more mobile, and can complete many formalities like bank account opening, health card registeration, apartment hunting, job hunting... Also babies are more succeptible to cold and can be very stressful to them. If you can wait till march or april, it will be good for your pocket too

Congrats my countryman..;)

I am waiting for the PPR as well. My visa expiry date will be April 2015 and if I get the visa, I am planning to land in Edmonton in March or April. Edmonton's weather is much more harsh than Toronto, I guess. Even though I hardly keep my patience to move to Canada, I am thinking to move there no earlier than March..:)

Hi FSW 2013 Applicants!!!!I just submitted my application for FSW 2014. I would like to ask who among you done like this in the IMM5406E (Additional family information). I wrote my husband’s name (principal applicant) as APPLICANT in the form and my name at the SPOUSE row...the other info about sister, brother etc is my family information...sign is also mine. What do u think guys? Thus CIC will consider?

Hi Guys,

A third line has been added today, July 19th: "Medical results have been received."
P.S: Medical was done on July 8th.

Hope to receive Passports request soon!

Re: Reference Letter on Company Letter Head a Must?

[size=10pt] Hi FSWP 2013 Applicants!

I am a FSWP 2014 candidate, awaiting my PER. Have a question for you!

How strict have CIO been in issuing PERs based on reference letter only being on a company letter head (assuming all the asked content in the letter is fine)? If my reference letter - for my most significant experience matching with the open NOC this year - happens to be on plain A4 paper (rather than on a company letter head) and is signed by my manager with his business card included, would that be accepted by CIO? Or rather have they accepted something similar in FSWP 2013? Please note I have also provided my job offer letter, 3 months pay slips and 2 years income tax documents from this job (all provided by the company) at a global bank.

I did realize an error of not having initially included a cover letter to explain that my employer wouldn't provide such a letter on a company letter head. However later I sent another courier, quoting my UCI, Passport #, DOB, NOC and Original App. Received Date details, containing this cover letter that explains the situation, and alongside scanned and sent the same via e-mail as well. I am yet to hear from them.

Thought of getting opinion on this situation.

Thanks in advance. And good luck in the process.

Cheers! :)

I think that CIO is not too strict when it comes to reference letters written on company letter heads, as long as you have sufficient proof that your company cannot provide it to you. And as far as i know, the business card idea works, if you have sufficient supporting documents. One more thing, Canada loves tax paying citizens, so including your IT returns was a good idea.
I feel you are safe...
