Hey all,

I received my MR on the 12th Feb 2014 and completed the medical tests. I now have to mail the proof of medical examination, RPRF and my passport.
I have 2 questions in this regard,

1. Should the demand draft/banker's cheque for RPRF be in Canadian Dollars or Indian Rupees. The Link sent by the Canadian High Commission in Dehli says it can be in CAD or INR but I am a little worried about exchange rates if it is in INR.

2. To send these documents, do we employ DHL/FEdEX or India Post (Speed Post)? Which one is preferred/recommended?

3. Is there a need to get the PCC again and also send it. It is not mentioned explicitly, but the PCC lasts for 1 year only, so I wanted to know.

Any help in answering these questions would be appreciated.

Thanks.
congratulation preity ji...you got MR mail after how many days ur Ecas updated???

I think average 10-14 days between passport received and rprf fee encashment....

Please have a look at the NDVO SS.... Very few candidates reported about both....

Hello Friends,

I submitted all of my documents including MR,PCC India, DD etc 2 months ago (23rd Dec) to NDVO. The left over document (FBI clearance USA), I sent it on 3rd Feb to NDVO. Should I follow up with them regarding this?

Also, I have heard they are doing BC in Ahmedabad currently. How long that would be? Thanks

How many days it took to get FBI clearance?

Congrats samarrs. You have quite an interesting story. All the best when you land in Canada for you new and greatest ADVENTURE :)

Dear Admins, Forumites,
I received my passport with Visa on 14th Feb (got a bit busy lately). I got DM status on 9th. The visa is valid from 6th Feb 2014 to 15 December 2014. Ultimately got to the milestone. I would like to thank each and every member from this forum and wish everyone of you success.
The journey to the PR visa has been exciting to me. I had been working for the government company since 4 years after my bachelors. Though being secured I was getting frustrated with the management and work environment. Wanted to do something new, something exciting. Then I applied for FSW in May.Then I left my permanent job. Went for adventurous trip, traveled lots of places around Nepal and India for almost a month, enjoyed quite, leisure and unemployed time at home for almost 2 months ( although often getting nagged by my Mom). Then came up a chance to study in China. I came here in China back in October, its been exciting here in China :). Then came up AOR..MR..PPR. I was really confused at beginning about MR and sending passport to New Delhi residing in China. I took my chance, did medical from here and Sent my passport through DHL to Nepal and then to NDVO ( I gave my local address of Nepal so that they could send it back). I am in China without having a passport since 3 months. ??? . But finally my brother called me to tell me that he received my passport with visa on 14th. Finally I going to get back my passport (with visa :D). This forum was the only positive guidance I received throughout the process.
The adventure that started after quitting my job is still on.Although I achieved the milestone, the journey is still long way. We can still get to know many more things from one another regarding Canada. I would like to thank all who have came up with the idea of Facebook group and Whatsapp group. I can assure you everyone that I am ready to help with any kind of queries that I know. and finally I would again like to wish everyone good luck not only with FSW but for the career and whole life.

Dear Frnds...

Background check done on 11th feb 2013.
(Inspite they started processing file on 20th Dec 2013.)

I was not present.

Now when further information I can except.??

Thanks.

Guys just a few queries;

1. What are the specifications for photos for MR? Same as the ones we did for the application (Appendix A)? Can someone point of the link where the information is available?
2. Do we need to get a negative also?
3. How many photographs are required?
4. Do we need to send additional photos in the package apart from the ones stuck on the forms?

Thanks.
