Need an answer from someone regarding the PCC in India.

I have been requested PCC with my MR from NDVO. The requests (MR, PCC, RPRF & PPR) seem to be generalized one and same for most of the candidate who are getting their MR from NDVO.

I submitted my PCC with application in May, however my spouse PCC was not included at that time. Still I got the following request from NDVO regarding PCC:

"Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate for yourself and spouse This must be received at this office by: 01/17/2014. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert"

Do anyone know what is the validity of Indian PCC? I got mine from passport office on 08 May 2013 and it doesn't mention anything about the validity period. Should I get a new PCC for sending now or I can send my last one again to the NDVO along with my spouse PCC.

Any comment on this will be really appreciated. Thank you guys for your help in advance.

To the best of my knowledge there is no expiry for PCC issued by PSK. I checked with the officer from PSK who issued the PCC to me.

seniors can u answer my query ..... NDVO is processing based on per dates or aor dates

As far as CIC guidelines is concerned, they would place your application in queue on the basis of application receipt date. So if your application was received on 10 May 2013, PER on 10 July 2013, and AOR on 10 Aug 2013, you will enter the processing queue as 10 May 2013 only.

Ideally, they should not ask for your PCC as its been only 6 months but I would suggest you to get the new one since NDVO has asked.
Do not assume anything by your own to be on safer side.

STEP 1 :- Gathering documents

-> Police certificates

Note: If you are including your police certificates with your application to the CIO, please ensure that your certificates were not issued more than three months earlier. Police certificates are generally valid for 12 months from the date they are issued. However, if a final decision is not made on your application before the expiry of your police certificate, the visa office may request that you provide a new one.

I feel by reading what is written in guide 7000, PCC is valid for 12 months (if it has no expiry date). In the case where you are having expiry date below 12 months then that will be applicable.

also i think the date vo receives an application from cic sydney it goes into their processing queue...this becoz i have been tracking this forum everyday and have seen some applications who got PER after a long waiting period...and obviously their files would have reached their vo later than the files of whom applied after them....of course this is just my viewpoint...

I am surprised to see this second line in my ECAS status....when i am still waiting for MR request...

NDVO has started processing my application on Nov 27th....but no MR yet....???



1 .We received your application for permanent residence on May 28, 2013.

2 .We started processing your application on November 27, 2013.


Seniors and Experts....can you throw some light here?

Hi Got my status as "We started processing your application on November 19, 2013"
I got request for my PP, Fees, PCC and MR test December 2, 2013. Maybe it takes a week to receive the email? I am not sure though..
