Guys, how can i know my UCI number? I am Aug 26 applicant. I have a consultant, but I haven't got any update yet. Can you help me with the process of getting my UCI? thanks
l

To know the status of your
application by calling cic from
outside canada
dial - 0016139444000
select 1 for English
then 1 for foreign affair
2 for immigration
call is being transferred to cic
then 1 for English
2 for status
1 for PR
8 digit client id number will be
asked
listen the request 3 times without
entering client id number
then the call is automatically
transferred to an agent
agent will ask information about last
name, first name, date of birth,
application received date, email id
etc
then agent will check in the system
and shall give feedback

Thank you! luckily I got my UCI number, but the agent was not able to give me any update regarding the status of my application because I am outside Canada. I am trying to check the my sttus online but I cannot find anything. Is it possible that The file was not opened yet or is it some kind of rejection?

Thank you for your encouraging words.. i have a question, what is the signifance of having a UCI number? Is it more on a positive side or every applicant has the UCI number?

Dear Member,
Though I am not an expert, but as per my sense each and every applicant do have UCI generated.

Folks,

For the ones who would like to know their UCI number, there is a small tip: If you had ever a tourist visa for Canada obtained before, your UCI numer is that 8-digit number the are between the text "Proprieté du gouvernment du Canada" and the text "Person(s)/Personne(s)" stamped on your tourist visa.

The UCI number is the same for tourist visa and immigration visa. Well, at least for me it worked!

Best regards,

Ricardo
