I have heard that lot of people don't get job in their profession and they do survival jobs until they get right job...i was thinking...how is the Idea of writing a GRE meanwhile,as it will take another 6-8 months to get a PR.then joining phd as its stipend will help us to sustain in Canada for some time and at the same time we can get a job after one year of phd...
Having said that i also want to mention that I don't have an intention to complete phd as i m not interested in research and just want to use phd as a tool to get job in industry and some financial support for some time...and yes I cant do MS as I don't have that much financial support..

AFAIK GRE is not required for Canadian schools. IELTS (academic) is required though.

FYI read the point no 13 of check list

the second point in bold letter proof of education, yes you need to submit all educaiton docs in addition to ECA

for IELTS i am wondering how they do not consider that

IELTS is only valid for 2 years. After that you need a new one.

Hi sharmausct, in the past it was difficult to recognize talent as we had a foreign degree so many people couldnt find a decent job without canadian experience. That is why now we have to do ECA and get the Canadian equallent of our indian degree. So when we get our PR there would be a placement centre in the Canadian immigration department. They may not get us a job offer but may guide us in getting a relevant job. I dont think u need to do GRE once u get PR. U can enroll in any PG diploma of 2yrs that has a Co-op or internship and get settled as u study. So dont worry. It wont be a walk in the park but it wont be so bad as we imagine either. Hope u got my point.

Guys , I got my AOR from NVDO on 25th Oct , in the mean time I have sent them 2 emails asking the process to add my new born but yet to get any reply. May be I will have to wait for few more days.

Anyways does anyone aware of the process to add new born ?

Congrates rendyccie. Your AOR took longest. Probably bcz of mails you sent for inquiry.
I am also interested in knowing how to add new born. It's still not my case but could be if it takes too long to get visa issued.
