Dear

No one knows about the CIC work, may be they again put a pause on the application in may and start it at the end of Dec., 2014, or may be they reduce the number of application and receiving time will be between May 2014 to Dec. 2014 only. All is assumption
In my place there is a well established immigration firm, who has offices all over India and also in Canada, they will help their employee for settling in Canada and charge extra for that.
Last year when CIC put a pause on application, the above immigration company given the above information in all the the local news after publishing in the CIC website. It means they also updates themselves from CIC website,

So you have to wait for the CIC decision

Does FSWP starts in May every year? I have read from CIC website that there will be EOI by end of year 2014. Does it means next year they will not start from May?

When should I expect an e-mail from CIC on my application since CAP reached?
I sent an e-mail on 10 September so I expect a reply (20 working days) on 8 October.
Will CIC notify me earlier than this date regarding the last night update?

bozance, i am very sorry you didn't make it in this year. however, next year competition is just around the corner, so don't lose faith!
i believe that all the correspondence and their work in general will take faster pace now when the strike is over. in any case, you better wait for an email from cic before you take any further steps! you never know! ;) best luck in your future endeavors!

just want to ask a question about the point of work experience. if I worked 3 years as 2147, then worked 2years for 0211, and choose 0211 as my primary occupation. how many points in total i can get? only 2 years for 0211 or 2+3=5 years for all of my work experience?

You need one full year of work experience (within the last ten years) in your chosen NOC regardless of if you have worked in other NOCs.

However your total number of years work experience is based on having documented experience at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 edition of the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC).

swordfish. i will pray for you to be right! i'm july 10th applicant, and i am getting very very nervous!

strangersr, You should be fine for the 0211, but for me being 15 July I might be close to being in the last batch of 30 candidates.
However let us stay optimistic. Surely the CIC are now are all happy workers now that the strike is resolved.

Hello everyone

but no worries this is not the end of life
But i will be honest i was expecting to make it in the cap just like #299 but fate has different plans for me

Dear

This is wholly solly my observation

As per my opinion, Around 8-10 persons (may be less or more) of CIC checks the files of FSW at initial stage. As soon as the CIC got the application file they allot a number to the file and they are picking up the file as per the numbering mentioned on it. In some file there is simple paper and the user remains at single address and had not visited abroad, however in some cases the file is complex, the applicant has visited number of countries, and had worked for 2-3 employers for different period. In the above manner a person dealing a simple file complete it much earlier than the complex file and in that manner, if 3rd July applicant received PER prior to 1st July or June applicant, it means his / her file is not complex and CIC people have not done much study on that as compare to 1st July / June applicant file .
This is my personal view / expert opinion required
i agree with u becoz i am 6th june applicant got studyin europe and visited three countries and 2 employers and dis not listen anything from cic except they replied my app is awiating initial processing.

i'm very inpatient last few days, as the day of the "final decision" is approaching. i just want my money to be taken, and my heart will be back in its place. i really hope that all of us will get in, in regards to NOC caps :-X

I found the following statement in http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/factor-experience.asp:

If the description and list of main duties match what you did at your last job(s), you can count this experience for points.

So what inferred from the above statement is: You will be awarded points only for those experiences which match to the NOC you have applied!

Lisdon,
It hard to find anyone who managed to do it from the first time.

It's ironic that 30-40 years ago, those countries were begging for applicants, my dad was telling me when he got his landing visa to US, and decided not to go, they called him one year later to give him an exception of extending his visa to another year and tried to convince him to use it.

I think it said jobs?

"If the description and list of main duties match what you did at your last job(s), you can count this experience for points."

I believe "if" clause compares "the description and list of main duties" of the NOC you have applied with "what you did at your last job(s)" to conclude "you can count this experience for points."

when will come Monday....
