Hi devkis,

My application for NOC 2132 has been received by 7th June 2013 and mode of payment is DD. I got my UCI number and still it is showing "we can not identify you". Can you advise something for my situation ? By what time should I expect application status will show "in process" by UCI number search if it has Positive eligibility review.

Dear Admin and Friends,

Please advise for following three issues, I'll be thankful for guidance.

1. I am a MBBS doctor having experience as sonographer, so am I eligible for the sonographer category to apply. I also have IELTS score 7 overall. Further I couldnt furnish the pay slip or bank details, because the hospital where I worked is of a small scale and they normally paid me Cash.

2. Can I get sponsor from my uncle or father to show the funds while submitting the application, as I may not have this much amount.

3. Also please advise how to check the number of applications sbmitted till to date against each skilled category.

Looking for your support.

BR.

I was looking at FSW2010-11 timeline and they are going through medicals now (after ~2.5 to 3 years). Few of us are optimistic that FSW2013 applicants who got PERs should start getting medical calls in few months, I read Dec/ Nov somewhere on this thread.

It would be great if they process it that fast but I want to understand what is rational behind that expectation? :)
How is it different from FSW2011 process? ::)

Just FYI...

My sister is working in Canada (through spousal visa of my bro in law who was having a visa linked to his work). They applied for PR way 3 years back. All they had was the UCI number and even after repeated attempts to know the status, there was no use.

Finally, last month she got a mail for medicals etc and she got her PR in hand yesterday.

Canada... anything can happen.

So for those fretting, the only thing to do is forget about it. You will be called when you are to be!

Hassan,
In my opinion , again to retract its my opinion and urs might differ,
Application for Permanent Residence - Federal skilled Worker submitted to Sydney, Nova Scotia
this is the one which applies to us.
The other two is applicable for PNP's or dependents or spouse.
Once again
the explanation for "In Process" leads us to believe that file is already at VO and eligibility by VO is also done? No it is not in Process . Its gathering dust, Let the Site say anything it has to. No one is looking at your file.
Many manuals are written all across the globe, none are followed.
These are written to make a safer side for CIC so that once it gets to court then they have something to rely on.
None of the steps can be guessed by applicants.
Well we can have an argument all along in this matter and once again these r my opinions and I am not a lawyer, cic representative or any one written in ur long list.
Even CIC representatives in my view r no good mate.
If lawyers were so good then manish's representative wouldnt have asked him to submit his application even with 4K, though the official is 11K.
Every Tom, Dick and Harry here in UK is an Immigration Consultant. In every Nook and Corner u will find one who have completed some basic course and declaring themselves Immigration Consultant. But in reality they know nothing. So ur long list in MY view is nothing. All they care for is ur money in their pocket.
Ultimate is whether u follow the manual or not , its the PR which we more concerned for. Not the manual.

But i guess your believe in the manuals and process are far more stronger than mine.
So no offence these are my opinions your might differ.
These r my views.

Hi Brother

Forum members who have applied under FSWP 2013 and who have received PER and able to log-in to Ecas, have you noticed the following at the end of the Ecas page:

The following tables will help you understand the status of your application.
Application for Permanent Residence Outside Canada
Application for Permanent Residence in Canada
Application for Permanent Residence - Federal skilled Worker submitted to Sydney, Nova Scotia

I am talking about the points mentioned in each of these. For example, what is the difference between outside Canada and submitted to FSW Nova Scotia? Which one applies to us?

In FSW Submitted to Nova Scotia, for example, the explanation for "In Process" leads us to believe that file is already at VO and eligibility by VO is also done? Can that be true?

Please share your thoughts.....

Hi

Prior to 2012, the CIC immigration outstanding cases backlog was huge and was resulting in delays for over 6 years for many applicants. In the last 2-3 years CIC has started putting caps and drastically reducing the number of intake including 20,000, I think 10,000 after hat and now 5000 applications. Previously, the application backlog for the FSWP was on track for an unacceptable 15-year wait time by 2015 with over 1.5 million applicants in the backlog.

Most importantly an important ruling was passed last year which resulted in the returning of several hundreds of thousands of outstanding applications including processing fees to all applicants whose applications were pre-2008. This drastically reduced the working backlog of CIC and has put them in a situation to dispose off cases quickly.

As a result of the Action Plan for Faster Immigration and Economic Action Plan 2012, the backlog for the FSWP has been nearly eliminated, and new applications are being processed in approximately one year.
(I am quoting this from official CIC link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/releases/2013/2013-05-03.asp)
