I doubt that this is a reliable guide. It doesn't take into account that there were far few applications in July/currently than May or June so if CIC continue to review applications at the same pace, the wait for later applicants will be shorter. Also, once the cap is reached for the popular nocs, the remaining occupations should be reviewed faster still.

Well, at least for the applications being processed now, the forecast should be more or less reliable. Of course, if the process accelerates due to decreased flow of applications and/or reached caps, the maximum can become lower, but there is no guarantee, taking into account strikes. Maybe I'll adjust the formula if the maximum lowers considerably in the coming weeks/months.

don't forget the strike of the officers... In my opinion, any forecast of the file's processing time can't be assured 100%...

Sure, it's just a forecast, so no 100% guarantee. But if the strike affects the processing time in any way, we will have the new maximum which will be used during the forecast calculation.

I asked the bank they said we don't have any information on DD status F***king SBI bank.

OMG how can bank b so irresponsible regarding yur draft status.. do u have photo copy of yur dd, take tht and ask yur bank to check d details whether or not yur dd is encashed..

n as far as acceptance or rejection is concerned CIC may b in d process of reviewing yur file..sme times does get delayed...

Do you really mean 4th of June?? Or its 4th week of June?? :-\

I think 4th week of June till the 1st week of July are critical on the cap limit to reach 300

I can say that SBI is one of the most reputable bank and they are doing there duties with full responsibilities. Don't worry, contact SBI forex department and they will be certainly having tracking system.

Hi Guys, here is my rough analysis about the cap although this is just an hypothesis.. Only God knows...

I agree that the latest status update is as of the third week since the FSW program was opened. Looking at it, I believe they are the complete applications as of May 24/25, 2013... For NOC 2174, there are 120... I can't wait for the next update and if the applicants as of May 30/31 starts to have their CC charged, I am thinking the next update is due... This is if my assumption is correct. The next update will also give us somehow the total number of complete applications for the whole month of May...

Now let us look at the RECEIVED applications in the spreadsheet per month:

May 97
June 42
July 38
August 3

I also believe that the spreadsheet approximately represents a trend for NOC 2174 than any other job codes... Looking at it, the turnaround of received applications in June decreased in half compared to May... Given this I believe that the next update will give us an idea if the cap will also cover the whole month of June...

Example, if there are approximately 60-80 applications added to 120 completed now by the next cap update (represents the whole of May), that will give us 180-200 applications in the fourth week... And if the trending above is true... by 4th week of June, we'll probably have 270-300 completed applications. This is only a prediction... I think the cap will be reached sometime by 4th of June or 1st week of July... Oh well, prayers can always move mountains! I came here in the first time thinking that the cap will be reached in only one week! But look at it now.... ;D

Not sure about your analysis but i think i might miss the deadline by few days...

morning forumites,
out of curiosity i called my bank this morning as cic call agents didnt give me any information about our application on phone and i was told our DD has been cashed (although the clerk didn't tell me the precise day it was cashed i can only guess it was last week ).

so glad and by God's grace i will get PER.

Hi.. My application was sent to Nove Scotia and reached on 15th May. Still no PER.
DD was from SBI.
