Guys,
I have 2 questions.
1. My agency is saying that they have received my file # but asking me to pay before they could share. Is it so that once they give the file # we can get things by our selves and not via agency?

2. I may be travelling to Netherlands on an official visit and may be there for the next 8 months. Given that, can i have my medicals done there?

Kindly advise and suggest options

1. You can obtain your UCI and File # via phone. Call CIC (it's been discussed billions of times how - search a little)
2. I cannot advise on this. Better mail CIC or try asking when calling (1.).

I just received the much awaited mail from CIC.... My PER!!!! So so so glad!! Such a relief...

My application had reached CIC office on 10th May. My mode of paymenyt is CC. My NOC category is 1112.
My credit card has not yet been charged. I emailed to CIC as well on 11th July. I have not received ant reply to that email as well.
Please can any one guide me. I have seen from spreadsheet that people whose application had reached after mine, have reprted about CC charge.

Probably you should try calling CIC. They are now charging 24th May applicants.

Confirmed. I just spoke with the bank. Apparently it happened at about 14:00 my time (it is now 14:22)

@All.. a small query... if CIC charge your CC .. is the sms sent at the same moment in India(ICICI cards especially) or after some time when actual transaction is shown in statement?

Right. My file too reached on 10th May and CC charged on 8th July.
But still waiting for PER.
I think it is time to call CIC. If possible contact relatives or friends living in Canada, and tell them to inquire about you if CIC will not answer.

Yes, I got SMS in minutes (HDFC) and customer call had tried to call me too.
