that 20 could be a gross misleading, this is not an actual one. 2147 is still hot.
best of luck..!

I few mins back re-verified with my bank that foreign currency Demand draft is valid for 6 months. India has recently reduced the validity limit for personal cheque to 3 months which has Indian rupee transactions. Still deals in foreign currency and bank cheque (demand draft) are valid for six months.

Please people have made their Payment through DD don't need to panic.

GOD BLESS US ALL.
which is ur bank? I took my DD from SBT and their position is that all instruments are valid for 3 months only

Hi leo1134, can u please tell me on which date ur application was delivered at CIC. Are you from india? The reason I'm asking u is bcos my brothers appli. Reached on 13 may , we haven't heard anything from cic. Maybe his application is on the way back. Need to know ur details to make. An assumption in our case. Pl. Provide the above info.

My documents reached CIC on May 22nd. I sent it from USA. The CIC letter inside was dated July 18th and I received the documents back on July 26th.

Hello everyone, I was being a silent spectator on this forum for a month now. I want to share good news with everyone here that my credit card just has been charge with CAD 1250. My NOC is 2174 and Visa office: New Delhi and my application reached CIC Nova Scotia on 23-May-2013

The kind of analysis people are doing on this forum went very useful (at least for me)

Congrats !!!

Newest- From what I have seen from the forum and things I saw in my documents. Everything in the documents were checked with red mark including the schedule 3, guessing my the inspector. And they probably kept it aside. Most of the May 22nd applicants were getting their CC's charged around July 18th. Therefore my guess is that my application was reviewed again on the day they were planning to charge my application. But since it had old schedule 3 they send it back instead. Since I am in US, I received it in a week.

Had to wait two agonizing months to see my application returned. Funny thing is that I knew I sent old schedule 3 a month ago!

For a couple the fsw fee is cad $ 550 * 2 = cad 1100 rite?

But some one few pages back has mentioned cc charge of cad $ 1250

pls clarify as I am worried about my DD for cad $1100 for me and my wife being the rite amount!

Thanks leo1134. US canada post is really fast.I don't have any idea how long the file will take to reach back india. Was just looking for some approximations. Thanks again.
And u should definitely send ur application again. Nothing to loose. And best of luck.

Most probable answer:
1. Applicant $550
2. Spouse $550
3. Child (1) $150
------------------
$1250

Sorry, I was just testing the water to see if we could play a small game...

Anyway, I hope I have been charged as my credit limit as gone down over last 2 hours. However, I cannot tell for sure until it clears (possibly Monday or Tuesday). I have also spoken to the credit card provider but the name is not on their system yet.

So it could be a potential CC charge but I would avoid calling it that so as to not jinx it. But I shall keep you all updated :)
