Just received email from lawyers that my DD has been cashed by CIO, they are waiting for PER and UCI.
Finally some good news for me.

With some of the guys DD's on this forum with NOC 2174 are sent for encashment on June 18th, and the first cap updates recieved on June 20th, we can assume that most of the cap updates on the CIC for NOC 2174 are from this forum...

With around 80 applications on the speadsheet for NOC 2174, and given that these guys spend most of the time with computer, hopefully this NOC counts 50% of the total NOC 2174 applications with CIC.

Trying to be optimistic...

Can I send the new application after rejection of prev application under 2013 FSWP quota?
I am planning to get updated letter from my employer if I am rejected..and apply fresh..

Just want to know does CIO keeps reference of previous application like do they take a copy and keep for records..
any one any clue?

Mine was cashed on 20th June.

Then u might get PER on June 28th according to I-man and Nirmal's timeline.

Most probably, they do keep a copy of all your docs. In any case, you should count on that and be careful with any changes in information you provided earlier. There is a chance to be charged with misrepresentation if they suspect you changed the facts to get through. So if you provide new reference letters, the reason for that should be properly justified and thoroughly explained in the cover letter.

I just saw an 1112 on Chinese forum got her CC encased today!

Her application arrived at may 9th.
So door to China is also open now!

Pretty sure they keep a copy...which is why the say after you have submitted original IELTS to them then in a second application you can send copy.

Guys..I have a really bad feeling (after reading the case of sachine9183). I think i fall in same category. i.e. my job duties are actually about 2173 and i applied under 2174.

I was comparing the NOC 2174 vs 2173 and found that 2173 is more for software engineer, developer, architect while 2174 is more about computer related programming i.e. computer code for microcomputer and mainframe software applications, data processing applications, operating systems-level software and communications software.+ interactive media developer + web developer

For 2173 it says,
"Software engineers and designers research, design, evaluate, integrate and maintain software applications, technical environments, operating systems, embedded software, information warehouses and telecommunications software."

The bottom line difference is computer programer (2174) vs software programmer (2173)..
with this i may have some rejection news for myself..

Under 2243?????? you can be as cool as a cucumber ;D....just take the time to go over your application to make sure all is fine and reference letters are on point, and relevant docs provided, degrees ...transcripts etc. As soon as you get the IELTS you apply......Cap is not an issue for you at this time....leave that to us 2174's and 1112's where is "all about the cap"
