Fear 15.. will I loose my Application fee in this gamble ?.. IPL-6 would have been a better avenue for betting ;D

hahahaha, if your application is returned at the document checking and points calculation stage, you don't get charged that fee. If your application is passed on to your VO, it should go through if everything is genuine

Guys, when you say stapled the forms, do you mean that you stapled all the forms toghether or do you mean you stapled the sheets of each form in a per document basis?

The checklist says: "Attach small items such as photos and certified cheques with a paper clip, otherwise leave documents unbound."

I don't think they mean that if you have a document which has 3 sheets, you should leave the sheets loose. I think they mean that you are not supposed to staple the whole application kit toghether.

hahahaha I don't think its major, apart from the annoyance factor of the document checker at the CIO. I took otherwise leave documents unbound as a direction not to staple anything. Not saying I'm 100% correct. Everyone has their own perception of things I guess. Don't fret

I agree with this too, again its open to individual interpretation of the directions provided. Cause I can argue that they clearly said to leave the documents unbound hence 3 sheets cannot be stapled but others can argue that they didn't mention if I shouldn't staple the multiple pages of a form together.

Actually scrap that, I understand what you're saying. These directions seem to suggest about the package as a whole, not parts of the application. They shouldn't have a need to remove staples of 3 pages if they are linked and go together.

Regardless of the number of pages, applicant do not have to staple anything, especially the forms. They are already numbered so they can locate & make sense of them. They usually gets annoyed with staples and removes themselves. IF you are required to keep few documents together so that they make sense, then use a paperclip. Staples any where in the whole package is not preferred. It ruins the page as well.

BTW Small things include & not limited to Photos, Bank drafts, visiting cards etc.

what's irritating is that I was some how startled by their wording "leave doc unbound" I only interpreted it to the "documents" as the certificates, transcripts,..etc.. not the forms (their forms).. :-[
I guess the language they use needs decoding, something that is not provided by the explicit IMM EG7000 :-X

Ah, you understood the opposite of what they actually were trying to say ;D Anyway, its not a factor for rejection, its just that they'll say, 'Eh! Another one of them!' and will unstaple them.

Marta's rejection was caused at the Stage 1 where they check completeness + correctness of the forms. At this stage, they won't be verifying names, cross checking the documents that have been provided. They will only check IF the documents

are complete as mentioned + ticked on the checklist i.e., copies for copies, originals for originals and certified true copies for the translation and their originals, and all the correct forms are added, signed and dated and fields are filled regardless of what is filled or not.

At stage 2, the officers will calculate the points and stuff that has been provided and will evaluate job duties.

Rest of the things will be done, verified, corssed check at Local VO. They may demand further clarification or straight away reject on missleading information.

as for no 2, I am not so sure about that :
