I did a Master of 1.5yrs in Lugano,Switzerland and it was definitely a country I would have loved living in, but unfortunately they aren't so keen having immigrants... I think Canada is also a country with rules that are respected (more than in my country at least) and is much better than Switzerland (where in my opinion people are quite strange/unfriendly/distant/false)...So Happy Birthday Canada and may you have us all as your "kids" :))
p.s.:In Switzeralnd is wasn't allowed to have your own washing machine and you had to schedule for washing with the other tenants and the "shared" washing machine....

If you like your piece of mind and having silence in your home/flat - than you should consider Switzerland. They are notorious for their "permit to flush the toilet at night" agreements between tenants and landlords. :P
It's an urban myth of course, but in general they are veeeery regulated as a society, together with almost everything in it. Some like it, some don't.

You mean, all undergarments mixed for your wife and girlfriend?

Between all the surmises, I am little confused as to the rate at which CIC is clearing the cases. Considering that they started working from May 8th, it took 7 'odd weeks to thrash out applications received in first 4 days (may be around 65*4 = 250 cases or more or less, who knows?). That does mean a lot of workload for them.

I guess I have a long wait ahead to hear anything given that my app reached there on June 5th and I am paying by DD; that is unless there is some catching-up by them interim. ::)

I'm pretty confused right now.
Shoud I write the bank savings in assets or
Assets 0
Liability 0
Settlement funds 17500 CAD

Write the bank balance savings of 17500 as asset as well
In a financial statement, there is a balance sheet that shows asset.

Tangible and intangible things that is capable of being owned or controlled to produce value and that is held to have positive economic value is considered an asset.

Tangible Asset has current and fixed assets.
Under current assets are
Cash
Bank balance
Stock

Other assets
Gold

Under fixed asset are
Properties
Furniture and fittings

Sorry for the lecture :P

Hi amar31282,

thanks. I have done another mistake in my Generic application form. And I did not mentioned anything in the filed "Immigration office requested to process this application". I was really confused and did not write anything on this... Aside the form also got validated without writing anything over there..

how bad is that?

a copy paste from cic website.

Question 4

Immigration Office requested for the processing of your application

Indicate the name of the Immigration Office which serves:

your country of nationality, or
the country in which you are residing, provided that you have been lawfully admitted to that country for at least one (1) year.

Note: Do not select the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) as the immigration office requested to process your application. Although you may be required to submit your application to the CIO, you must indicate the name of an appropriate visa office using the criteria above.

Note: If you are applying for refugee protection from within Canada, this question does not apply to you. Go to Question 5.

Hope this helps

Finally some accounting knowledge! Of course cash is an Asset. Add cash to your car(s), property, gold and other investments to get the total of Assets. Can be a conservative approximate!

No its not boring! I spent 4 days of my life in Switzerland and I loved it. Wish to visit again someday. Any piece of info about that country interests me :)

Lol just read the last page of this thread and thought I had fallen off the edge!! Wondering how this topic ever got started? For those of you not in Canada right now, it is scorching hot here in many places from coast to coast. Usually long weekends are cool and rainy - just because families want to go camping then! This Canada Day will be hot and dry and the night time fireworks will be great. To those near and far, whether you will celebrate in the country this year or hopefully by next, a very peaceful, Happy Canada Day everyone!!

Thanks Pippin and same to you.

Dear Seniors and friends,
I JUST realised that my work experience is 5 years in ;'A ' Company out of which 3 years are in the last 10 yrs.
B company also has similar work experience of 2 years but havent added any duties only appointment letter and experience letter.
Without the second company points are coming to 66 ONLY.
My query is will the V.O consider my other experience or not for points qualification?
Please reply.
Thanks
