An advice : You are working hard to get through the application process, I know it. But dont underestimate the real challenge which lies ahead of getting visa and landing here. So be prepared and do whatever you can to get the job while you are there.

Most practical ways are

1) Get a nice Linked In profile with professional photo and gr8 credentials listed in Canadian style details.
Must buy Linked In premium services or job seeker's premium. It pays back when you get the job.

2) Your resume , is your face and speech. So clean it, shape it and make it nicer.

3) Get a VOIP number, so Canadian employers can call you back on local line. Remember , no one's gonna call your International number until you are Stephen Hawking or Albert Einstein.

4) Do not open your resume till you are about to get visa. Employers mostly call for in person interviews immediately. You will loose chances if you cant travel or you dont have your visa.

5) Try your best to get into your present company if they are operating here. Any position will make your life easy.

6) Be Canadian, Think Canadian, Speak Canadian and Act Canadian. How to do this, is your job to find out.

Can anyone who obtained UK PCC from INDIA, please lemme know how many days it took for the WHOLE process through a STANDARD SERVICE. My package was received on 30th april, and I got an acknowledgement on 9th May, I sent them 2 emails, but still I haven't heard back anything from them.

I think I shared it already yesterday but I'll do it again for the benefit of doubt.

You must understand that I'm yet to get my application back but my conclusion(of my rejection) was based on a scanned copy of my application that I did before sending it.
There were inconsistencies in the personal history dates for my spouse.....same goes for address dates in the last 10 years.....there were gaps that I didnt account for...it was actually typo error.
Also,there are some parts of the forms that doesn't really relate me..........i guess i was supposed to use pen to write N/A but I left them blank.
These are the mistakes I noticed and corrected.
Please note that the dicey nature of your mistakes depend on the officer handling your file......if he or she is in good mood.....it may be overlooked.overlooked. I'm saying this coz in my first application,I completely wrongly filled a form for me spouse(IMM5406 as I put my name in the applicants column for my spouse).......but the officer seems to overlooked it.I only got punished when my credit card details malfunctioned which was why they returned it.

I will be in a better position to explain further when I get my 2 returned packages.

you will get it on time... lets say another 4-5 days...patience my friend!! UK police has a very straight forward and efficient process for this... i got mine in 3 weeks... no problems...

Even if application is rejected...will they drop an email or they send documents by post. I have bad experience in receiving documents here as Kuwait Postal Service is really bad.

No, they won't. It sucks, I personally do not like how CIC handles applications that need to be returned. My application was returned but I did not know for sure till after 2.5 months from application received date when CIC responded to my status inquiry email saying my application was returned. And it takes forever for you to receive your packet back plus you vaguely know what was the reason for rejection.

I would suggest you wait till 30 days have passed or/and shoot them an email.

1. Do you when was your CC charged? And the time gap between CC Charged and PER?
2. Did your ECAS status update as soon you received the PER?
