Dear Everyone,
I have received the passport request from NDVO and I am living in Japan. Most of the courier companies have denied except the DHL which has agreed to send my passport from Japan to NDVO.According to DHL,a passport can be from embassy to embassy or from individual to embassy if a accompanied with a letter for the customs clearance.
On showing the letter from NDVO they have agreed to send my passport.

Has anyone been in the similar situation of mailing passports across the borders which is an way illegal?

Also does NDVO provides extension for passport submission dates when the candidate is living overseas?
Regards,
Manish
I sent my Passport from China to NDVO through DHL..similar to your no other option were viable except sending it through DHL. However I heard that vfs in the respective country can parcel the passport to visa office. Though I tried to contact through mail and phone, neither did I get any reply from v nor phone contact. So I used the last option to send it through DHL. According to my study within this forum I don't think VO considers anything ( time extension for submission or faster processing after submission ) for case like ours. Because I found so many people like us lingering for as much as 8 months with passport being sent to VO across border and being in foreign land insecurely without passport. But I found some bright side as well like many people getting their passport within a month as well. So there is always a risk factor of time delay. I have been waiting patiently keeping my finger crossed as its been almost 20 days my passport is in NDVO. As we got no other choice, I think you should send your passport, medical, fees as soon as possible for faster processing and be positive...
Hope it helps you.

Dear Friends,

Need your opinion on the following:

since the date, i was planning to apply for FSW 2013 programme, A doubt was there and till date its there.

I have heard from known, unknown people and even read some articles about the situations of skilled migrated workers in canada. To search a job of your relevant field is very very tough as employers only prefer Canadian experience along with the local degree.
Even the unemployment rate is also high compare to US and Australia (correct me incase If i am wrong).

I might be sounding a bit negative but trust me guys, I am bit concerned.

Its Much better than Australia .........I guess.........when it comes to work in their respective fields...........
secondly.....we all forget to realize why do expect swiftly that a new place & new work place culture will absorb just like that ............without knowing what h//she is capable of......their adaptability...........we need to prove ourselves.........

Besides, all applicants are confident enough that they can prove their caliber................but so impatient.....

My intention is not being rude or something...........am just giving you a clear idea.....

anyways....Good luck :)

Its very difficult to answer this question given the information provided, need to be a little more specific like your occupation, organizations you have worked for, relatives in Canada or Australia etc.

But one can think about these things after applying. If one can buy an option to settle in a country like Canada for just a grand, why not?

As far as the unemployment rates are concerned, yes they are higher in Canada. But that hardly matters given the fact that more than 90000 skilled workers shall retire by 2020...
