I submitted in favour for Receiver general for Canada in INR for adding my new born. No problem.

New born? Are you referring to RPRF fee?

Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)

Applicants for permanent residence can pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee ($490) at the time they submit their application or at a later date when requested. The processing fee is still required when submitting an application.

The following applicants are not required to pay the RPRF:

dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted, or an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild;
protected persons, including Convention refugees.

Medical line usually get added in 10 days and DD gets encashed within 14-16 days !!
This is what i have observed with fellow NDVO applicants..

How do we get to know that DD is encashed ???? Is it given on the CIC website status line or do we need to get know from bank ??

I am having a query............

My wife is a dentist here in India. If she wants to do job in her profession what steps she will have to follow and if any exam she will have to give to become a dentist in Canada, what the process be..........

Kindly help in this regard, meanwhile I am waiting for my MR..........Hope will get soooooooooooon

I surfed in internet, till now no one reported about this incident. In one forum they mentioned-No one carries the whole amount during entry, people carry half of the money they showed as PoF. People usually stay tensed during their first trip to Canada and carrying that much money is risky.
I have seen people carried half the amount they showed as PoF. (Posted by jnathan- VIP member).

I think he mean along with the PoF we can carry half of the money shown in the settlement fund as cash or as traveler's cheque. No need to deposit money in international banks...

In canadavisa.com they mentioned about the documents required to carry while we land.

It just said they may ask for the proof of fund. Not specifically mentioned national or international bank...

I wouldn't have brought this topic up if my consultant told me this information. I have been told this by someone who has gone to Canada in the FSW category and I consider that chap as a reliable source of information.
The fact that this has not been reported by anyone else is a big relief, however I am a wee bit skeptical about what he told me. What if they ask and what if he is right? are the questions that still lingers in my mind.

Let's see, I have another headache to get over with.

My application (documents, passport, pcc, meds, RPRF) is supposed to reach NDVO by 20th January 2014 and the line which says that they have received my medicals is not updated yet.
Got my medicals done in Fortis Bangalore on 18th December 2013. I checked with them and I was told that the report was only sent on 26th December 2013.
Now I am worried seeing others having their Meds getting updated in ECAS. I sit and wonder where the heck is my medical report?

Another stupid mistake I made was not taking a copy of the DD I drew in favour of Canadian High Commission. Damn!!
Now I have no clue, how to check the status of my DD.

you can get status of your dd with ur account number and date of dd. I did it.

Regarding your demand draft status, just go to the bank and give them date on which you draw the Demand draft.
As the drawing bank has to verify the status of demand draft periodically, they will be certainly having the records for the same. Further, as this may be time consuming process to search for the demand draft, bank people will just say a simple answer : WE DON'T KNOW. But as said by someone, Request is the most powerful weapon ever invented, hence request them and you will be done with the status of the demand draft. Moreover, note the number of instrument drawn by your bank for your further reference.
With which bank you are banking with ?

Hi Forum members,
I had received medicals,PCC,RPRF,Passport request on 23rd Dec 2013.
On 27th Dec 2013 I got married.
My consultant for canada told me to send case specific enquiry to add spouse name in application and told me not to proceed with my medicals,PCC etc.
He said that after case specific enquiry are reverted from NDVO,we can send spouse documents and then NDVO will send combine medicals for both.
My question is whether I am being guided properly.
OR
I should proactively send all my spouse document with my medicals etc with cover letter so as to reduce turnaround time.
