Hi folks

Urgent response required. I am waiting at the bank to make DD for my new born's addition

Now that my file is with NDVO, and waiting for MR, i am making a new addition to the file, so while making DD favoring "Receiver General for Canada",
is this DD should be taken payable at Canada or should it be payable at New Delhi (for 150 CAD)

Please respond immediately

thanks

House, help me. Since I left school, I have been working with a particular company and even as am typing this, I still work there.

Will my reference letter still bear past tense. I mean if de reference should indicate date am still working with them, hope that won't be any problem.

Thanks

U can take in inr as well. Payable at New Delhi

I would suggest to make it in INR , when I did it was 8890 or something (check online ), you can either make it for Receiver General of Canada or Canadian High Commision.

Benefit of making it in INR , is easily traceable , you can check with bank for its status. And Yes , either CAD or INR its needs to be payable at ND.

I have a hunch as I made these change in my File , my processing got delayed , so beware of that and have some patience :)

The important point is years of experience and your JD matching the NOC ( few other things like salary , hours of work etc need to be there as well )

You can work in only One company for 10 years , that perfectly fine. If you are still doing the same job/ duties , you can make it as present tense as you are still doing the same stuff , but if you used to do that you can very well make past tense , but make sure to mention how many years of exp on that JD you had , coz that counts.

HTH ,

Dear who1074,

If applicant has employment history with large multinationals, then arranging reference letter in required format may become a difficult task sometimes. For example, my previous company refused to provide reference letter replying that they have already provided experience letter. I didn't request reference letter from my current employer as I didn't want to disclose but I am 100% sure that they are not going to provide reference letter in the required format too. Mostly, companies refuse to write down job duties & responsibilities on such letters. In such cases, written explanation along with the alternative proofs will serve the purpose as per NOTE on the first page of Document Checklist. Such written explanation along with alternative proofs will make your application complete.

In my case, I have 3 employment histories including the current employment and I couldn't arrange reference letter for any of these employments. I provided written explanation along with the alternative proofs such as experience letters, offer letters, salary slips, contracts, bank statement of salaries account, work permit visa etc. On my work permit visas, it is clearly written that it is issued for Mechanical Engineer. It will be quite straight forward for Visa Officer to understand if work permit is issued for a Mechanical Engineer, then Engineer must be performing tasks of Mechanical Engineer for such large multinationals.

Just to conclude, it is always best to send all forms and documents in required format but CIC has given the alternative options in case some documents are unavailable.

Officers at CIO have to ensure compliance to the below manual while processing the application. The section 8.1, Completeness check upon receipt, of this manual is under discussion here.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op06c-eng.pdf

On work experience the applicable clause goes like this,

evidence that the principal applicant has accumulated at least one year of continuous full-time paid work experience, or the equivalent in continuous paid part-time work experience, in the NOC 2011 0, A or B occupation identified in their application for permanent residence as their primary occupation. This work experience must have been obtained within the 10 years preceding the date of their application, and the applicant must have:
 performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC 2011; and
 performed a substantial number of the main duties, including all of the essential duties, of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC 2011.

It is thus my opinion that for any application to be considered complete a CLEAR description of job duties is a mandatory requirement. I think the applicant, under discussion here, should definitely send reference letters together with a cover note. In the absence of an explanation the application, under discussion, is not complete. There is a low probability of getting through, though I pray I'm wrong.

I would also suggest to fellows who have not submitted reference letters and got PER should try and arrange these as they MAY BE required by the visa office, when they assess the application against selection criterion, at a later stage. It definitely varies from case to case depending on what alternatives have been submitted.
