JOB OFFER- No
DEGREE- Masters
ECA EQUIVALENCE- Masters
JOB EXPERIENCE- 2 years
PCC SENT- Yes multiple.
APPLICATION SENT DATE- August 12
APPLICATION RECEIVED- August 18
FEE METHOD- CC
APP RECEIVING TIME- 14:02
APP RECEIVED BY- Mike
DESTINATION IN CANADA- Edmondton, Alberta.

Any idea if I have still got a chance with NOC 2263 currently on 145?

If your app was recieved by August 18, you should be expecting your PER now.

I seriously wish that we were hit by some typhoon in India so NDVO could think of fast tracking applications and MR for a change .....

Hi Folks

Please I have a Bachelor and Master degree in Civil Engineering, and in the past five years I worked in 2 fields (Geotechnical & Transportation Engineering). Given that Civil Engineer occupation is almost filled with applicants (244 out of 300), I am thinking of applying under Geological Engineers occupation, actually my main duties as a Geotechnical Engineer is matching this occupation (Geological Engineers - 2144) not (Civil Engineers - 2131)

What do you think guys? I feel like my chances will be high if I applied as a Geological Engineer not Civil Engineer since they have only 60 applicants out of 300. But the thing is that all my previous education was in Civil Engineering (actually Geotechnical Engineering is part of Civil Engineering studies in my country) So, does it really matter in assessing my application?

Please advice.

Personally I think you should apply under Geotechnical Engineering.

Based on the current flow of applicants you should be in. But no one can tell when the cap gets fill. My file for the same NOC is received by CIC on October 30. Awaiting for good news. Let's hope.

Nothing personal.Please wait and don't say these sort of things.Even after a number of days of the typhoon I saw in the newspaper today that children are dying as there is still non availability of medical services in some areas.I am sure we do not want the Canadian dream with the loss of resources and lives in our own country.Thanks.

I became little nervous when I saw 22 months processing time. I couldn't remember what it was earlier in that table. I was totally going by 10 months (~15 months from app received for me) time frame. Up until AOR, it was pretty easy to predict the dates based on the data in the spreadsheet. After AOR its like ??? :-[ :-X. For NDVO, 22 months from recipt of application would mean 2014-15 time frame to land.

Again, not sure how sacrosanct this info is. For instance processing time for CPP-O in the table is 25 months. But here we have been hearing 6-8 months from our fellow forumites for fact.

Pray that NDVO starts sending MRs soon.

If your job duties match to NOC 2144 I would suggest you go ahead and apply. I am from civil background but applied under 2144 since my experience was related to 2144 and got PER.
