Guys i would also like to add a point. If you learn basic french you will easily qualify for QSW. All u have to do is enroll in a basic french class and do the TEF test. Once u get the PR card u can move over to any part of Canada.

Nirmal my brother had done that when he started working in Canada. He had applied for New Zealand immigration and they had asked for his passport so he couriered it. He just told that we need a copy of passport and the PR card or Work Permit copy in case they check.

Hi Iktheone and Niirmal...I have a similar query...But iktheone, in your brother's case..as he was that time working in Canada..Did he stayed in Canada without original passport for that period..I m in a view that If you are in a foreign land, you should carry your original passport all the time..otherwise its a crime..Am i on right track??
Act my visa office is NDVO but we hav to move to US for work..So how will we be able to send them passport for stamping ?

Ok, this is for NZ.. Does Canadian NDVO work on same model?

Nirmal recently my brother crossed the Canadian border by mistake when he was taking my parents out who had visited him then. He forgot to take his PR card or passport. He was stopped by the border security officer when he tried to turn around. They were not willing to listen to even a single word he says. Gud thing that he had his PR copy scanned in his email so he showed it to them and they were very polite and chatted with him for a while and allowed him to go. So nothing to worry. They are just doing their job but otherwise they are very polite people. This was the worst case scenario since he crossed the border. And i doubt if anyone is gonna do that. So as long as u have a copy of passport and PR card or work permit there is nothing to worry.

Kara as long as u dont travel out of the country it wont be a problem. My brother's passport was stuck for almost 6-8 months in new zealand.

Hi Kara, As far as I know, Its not legal to send your passport out of country for any purpose. Unless it is sent by embassy themselves.
So i do not think we can send our passport for PR visa during visit to other country.

Guys i saw the above line on Medical Monsoon thread. Is it a sign that NDVO is now focussing on FSW 2013 applications? Cause many people have got their PER, AOR and ofcourse Shyama got her MR this november. So could it be a good sign?

I am thinking that while we are waiting for MR from NDVO, I can arrange PCC as it can take time.
Can somebody guide me, what is the criteria NDVO will ask for PCC from a country other than home country.e.g. Days stayed in that country in one year etc?

Hey Vancouver14 if u stay for more than 6 months in a country other than your home country u need to get a PCC for that country as well other than your home country.

Vancouver14 just because they reached target it doesn't mean they would stop processing. It is a TARGET not a CAP. Once they reach the target they focus on something else for a while Ex.DM for 2010 applications and once they reach the target for that maybe they will get back to FSW 2013 applications MR. So i guess they are trying to move all the applications simultaneously and be fair to all from 2009 to 2013. Hope i am right.

Does any one have information about processing priority for FSW2013!
somewhere I heard that since 2013 program is more conservative than previous programs, in VOs, they will be processed faster than others. is this right?
Australian immigration program is more clear in this regard. they have clear processing priority and processing time for each case. Canada seems to be absolutely silent in this regard. (or maybe I couldn't find anything)

Seniors,

My spouse is a foreigner and I am an Indian. Our visa office is NDVO. As she stays in her country I was planning to have her medical from her country and mine from India. We have checked and called the Panel physician of her country authorized to do the medical test. The panel doctor said us it is possible to do medical test from her country. After the test the physician will send the report to the Canadian embassy in Manila because health test result will be considered in Manila not India. NDVO will be able to view and download the result of this online. Is this information correct?

Because previously from many of the posts from the forum I thought the physician will send medical result to NDVO. As with in 45 days the test result should reach the visa office we are worried if the process is wrong we may loss the time unnecessarily.
