As an FSW applicant the requirement is that passport should be valid for atleast a year I think..

Dear Seniors, i applied on 12 july 2013 and my my passport is valid till feb 2015. Will i face problem in that case?
Please help and clear how long passport should be valid?

Does we late July applicants still stand any chance?
I hope the caps would not have gotten filled by the time our applications be opened.

No CIC is not working ( they dont work on weekends), only bank/credit bureau of the applicants is sending information

Once our files are out of CIC, what happens after is peculiar to each VOs they don't treat cases same way. Their responses are a function of their current backlogs. But even CIC haven't updated ecas lately which is the first step in transferring cases. As for my VO, they told me they haven't received my file yet and it will be placed in queue once its received. Processing time have also been reviewed from 15 to 22 months. For me I'll just wait till I here from them. Others may be affected by the strike.

I am curious how they will handle that promise... most of the VO's have way more than 12 months processing times for FSW. They can only keep it under 1 year, if they sneak us ahead of old applicants... Or another solution can be for the new minister to simply change his mind about this promise.

5 Years and you need to complete 1000 days within this time frame to be able to apply for Canadian citizenship.

Administrator,please update my information: got charged on 10/08/2013.

BTY, my NOC is 2174. My docs reach on 29/05/2013,it seems 2174 has not reached CAP yet.

Really Donno.. what to say..

CIC has just slowed down awfully....

I'm a 28th May applicant under 0211 and waiting like hell... Everyday just keep on checking my phone for a SMS on CC charge but that wait is just endless .. especially this week.... 0211 is just not moving.. they have just stopped processing this NOC
