i have seen in group that some people called CIC and manage their application status. But i tried a lot of times but every time it was negative. Please advice me .. my application has been received by 16th May but still i didn't get any email or mail ....

What do you mean by "negative"? Do you mean they refuse to provide you with the UCI number?
Try to persuade them into giving you the UCI at least, then you could check online.

You should mail them as you have tried to call them but have not been able to get a positive reply.
