Hey Josh & Wasi,

That's great you guys to it in a month, the first stage approval. For me it's been 7 weeks now. Maybe it's delayed cause of the holidays. Not sure.

Josh - I've seen people get PR in a month after submitting everything. Again, I can only think of Holidays that could slow down the process. Give it till Jan 3rd week and then you might consider sending a Case specific enquiry to Ottawa.

Thanks
CL

Hey Josh,

Yes, they were over. Not sure what's holding them now. I'm just praying for my first stage approval so atleast I get to stay in the country and get my work permit extended.

Thanks

Hey Josh,

I can be of little or no help here since I'm still early in the stages and haven't received my first stage approval yet. However, you can post your question in the below thread and the people there should be able to assist.

We applied FSW2 with arranged employment. Docs received in Sydney 20/01/2013, PER 20/02/2013. Documents were sent to London visa office for processing and we haven't heard anything since. I don't think anyone works in the LVO!!!! Will be sending updated Police Clearances soon as the ones sent with our application have now expired. Hopefully this may wake someone up!!!

Hello Everyone,

I have a question with regards to applying under the Federal Skilled worker's category. I have been working in Canada for nearly 6 months now as a full time employee on a post graduate work permit. I have been considering applying under FSW - arranged employment and I recently received an offer of employment letter from my employer to support my application. However, please note that I do not have a LMO to support this application and my existing work permit expires in another 5 months.

What I'd like to know is if I can go ahead and apply under the FSW - arranged employment category without a LMO (as I have a valid post graduate work permit)? If not, I will wait to gain 1 year of employment and apply under CEC.

Much appreciate your advise!

Thanks.

Hey Nikki,

You can apply under FSW - arranged employment category and you do not need a LMO. Please find the details here - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp

Thanks
