My IEC will expire soon and I'm still waiting for my LMO. Will I get an implied status after my visa expire? If yes, can I work while waiting for the decision?

My friend called the immigration twice and ask the same question. Two different persons said to him that he can legally work while waiting on LMO. Maybe there are some new rules in 2013?

Unfortunately the call centre gives incorrect answers far too frequently.

Don't believe the call centre. Believe PMM.

Avoid getting yourself into a situation where you end up working illegally.
