What does it mean « split landing «

Split landing means, you will be given PR rightaway and your spouse will be given at a later stage.

Reminder email (We missed the first PR portal email) - September 5, 2021
PR Portal Credentials - September 6, 2021

*Inland also received a portal email
*Outland dependent didn't receive a PPR yet

Hi All,

Got request for re-medicals for my wife and 2 yr old daughter in India. They should be finishing it next week. I was actually hoping for a decision but got this

I am interested in "Split Landing" mentioned here in earlier posts, do we have to request the IRCC specifically for this? Me and my elder daughter are here in Canada while my wife and younger daughter are in India. Even if we got approved and get the COPRs now, my wife and daughter may not be joining me for another 6 months at least. The reason being I keep traveling between India and Canada because of my business, and for the next year I have to spend more time in India. I was hoping to get them with me to Canada sometime in mid 2022 once my work is done.

Will me and my elder daughter get our PR cards here or do we have to wait till all four of us are here in Canada?
