Same happened to us, except they mailed the entire 2kg package back to us in NZ. Our police certificates will be expired by the time we send it back.

We don't know what to do. :(

Sorry to hear that.. :( Did they tell you why did they sent the whole package back? Is it just because of the old forms?

When did they received your application?

It arrived on the 3rd August. We know that from the FedEx tracking.

First correspondence we got from them was when the entire 2kg package arrived on our doorstep in NZ yesterday.

All we got was a standard letter saying that we need to include the latest forms. That's it.

The forms changed while it was waiting on them opening it.

Gutted.

I really felt bad about this issue, but haven't heard anything from them yet, but expecting that they will also request us to send the updated forms even they received our app on July 31st.

:( :( :(

I'm sure you are aware, but just making sure you realise that with NZ police cert it is just a form giving cic permission to obtain it on your behalf. There is no waiting for a new one. I assume that you have been living in other countries and that is why you require certificates.

I think PP needs a UK police cert. too

To all of you guys (including the OP chan180),

I'm sending you tons of positive energy, and hoping for the best with you! When it comes to dealing with the CIC, you need to have zen-like patience, and rock-like courage. Just keep doing what you gotta do, and stay on top of things, stay in close contact with the CIC, and you'll do just fine!

My wife and I suffered an even worse thing. I won't bore you all with the story, but what happened was that we sent my application forms and supporting documents, my wife's application forms and supporting documents, and our relationship proofs. We sent them all in ONE single box.

Guess what happened!

Only the relationship proofs arrived at CPC-Mississauga. The rest was gone.....yup....vanished....all the "IMM" forms....wife's police certificate.....supporting stories.....certified sworn translations of important documents....affidavits.....all totally g-o-n-e, and nobody knew why (and we're both still clueless till now).

Thankfully the officer who called me, said that I could send copies of those vanished documents (thankfully we scanned everything and had the electronic copies of everything)....well, EXCEPT my wife's police certificate, which, according to the officer, my wife had to get a new one.

And the officer assured me that we wouldn't lose our queue. So at least that was comforting.

All in all, I think we got delayed by about 2,5 months because of the crap that happened >_<. On the positive side, at least the relationship proofs (which took us 3-4 months to prepare, roughly 1,000 pages in total) arrived at CPC-M safely. If they vanished too, I can't imagine how devastated we would've been...

Good luck to all of you.....wish you all the best!!!

Here is the website explaining it. Not sure if they will accept what you have sent them, I wouldn't get worried about it. The form isn't a complex one to fill out. Can be done in a few minutes if they request it.

Bit of a long story so i won't bore you with it .My husband didn't actually have to sumit one for immigration as he never lived there, but we got it just in case they wanted to see if his criminal background check was clear in NZ.He was charged there 21 years ago while on vacation.
