Hi all,

If someone can please help.
My wife will soon be arriving from europe. She has alot of stuff including artifical jewelry.

Do we need to take pictures of the artificial jewelry also or just the gold???

As for the electronics and clothing. Any pictures required?

Anyone have suggestions for cheap shipping from norway?

Thanks

Dear Fellows,

I have a question. If anyone, especially respected qorax can enlighten me.

We recently have obtained visa and I (the P.A) have decided to land first and family will land later. Now for goods accompanying and goods to follow list, do we have to follow the procedure as:

For P.A Landing:
1) P.A Goods Accompanying list
2) P.A Goods to follow list = Family Goods accompanying list + Ultimate Follow List

For Family Landing:
1) Family Goods Accompanying list
2) Family Goods to follow list (Ultimate Follow List) = P.A Goods to follow list - Family Goods accompanying list

or is there any other way ?

Additionally, if wife is carrying the jewelry, then should P.A present the jewelry picture on first landing or should wife present the jewelry pics on her landing ?

Each individual can elect to submit separate forms or as a group at landing.

Thanks for the reply steaky. I didn't quite understand. Do you mean that P.A can submit all lists at his landing and then family won't have to submit any on their landing ?

I mean either:
1) PA submit his own B4 and his family submit their own B4.
2) Or the PA can submit the B4 for the entire family at landing, such that his family won't have to submit any on their landing.

Thanks steaky. If I choose to go by the option 1, then should the procedure be like what I mentioned in my first post, means will family B4 become P.A's good to follow list?

Problem with option 2 is that right now I don't know exactly what stuff family will end up deciding to bring. Means I have general idea but not item to item detail. Therefore, option 1 seems to be more plausible right now.

If you do not know what your family will end up bringing, then choose option 1 - you prepare your own B4 and your family prepare their own B4 at each landing.

Hello, this is a great post! I have just a question:

Can the items identified to be imported later, be brought by a relative or friend when they visit, or will we have to bring them ourselves when we travel back?

thank you.

Hi,

P.A. Should show both the list. 1. Goods to accompany list ( by p. a)& 2. Goods to follow list ( which will carried by family later on).
P.A should also present the jewelry picture as supporting to goods to follow list. Hope now it's clear to you.

Yes, either way.

Do we need to write the goods value in list?
I have the list with description and qty

Hi,

We landed on July 13th and to my surprise they did not ask for any list of goods or jewellery pictures. When I asked them to stamp B4, they just stamped it without even entering anything into the computer. They only asked how much money we are carrying and in what form. They did not even look at our luggage.

Thx satwant, u had goods list in excel sheet print out or filled the forms for that

Leon, Qorax Urgent please

For any of the items which u r taking out of Canada & wish to bring it back, u need to Declare during embarkation at the Canadian Airport.

The BSO would file in a Yellow Form (the No. I'm not remembering) & give it to u for showing to an officer on returning. That's how the system works.

So, u'd be fine with it. Right?
Dear Leon, Qorax,
I'm alarmed.....i made beautiful detailed GAL and GTF at my landing in 2012. Despite reading and re-reading posts on this forum, i missed this. The Goods that Accompanied me at my landing visit in Toronto - jewellery which i was wearing, laptop, video camera, mobile phones etc are the same at my 2nd visit to Canada a week from now, more than 1 year after my last visit.
Since i didn't declare them at departure from Canada, what should i do?

Do i need to carry my landing visit GAL with pics of the jewellery original? The entire lists - GAL and GTF were stapled by the BSO and make a very heavy bundle.

Is there any specific formality that i must remember to do on arrival and departure this second and every time i return, this time to Vancouver?

How do i go about filing my Income Tax Return in Canada? Is it required? I have my landing funds in the Canadian bank since last year. That's it.
Help, please.....

Thank you. I'm sorry to leave it till so late and rush you....but suddenly the countdown has begun and the panic is palpable.
