Tracker just updated and received oath date of March 12th. I assume all are virtually now. I think I read from others you have to be in Canada for the oath, is that correct?
Congratulations!

There's a separate thread for exploring Oath outside Canada. I'm not sure anyone should be risking that now. If you are outside Canada, make all efforts to travel to Canada, take the oath and get done with it.

Slow and steady wins the race :)
By looking at your timeline, now wonder why you say this ;) . You have lot of patience.
I dont know which race is this, definitely winning the race to the bottom, lol
Seems to be a race without a defined finish line hence as you said we cant win, per design by the great cic system.
Tired of cic already within 2 years. I hope that it wont take another 1-2 years:rolleyes:

Hey guys ,
Applied January 2019 besides AOR in April 2019 nothing here. not a single announcement
A little secret from my ATIP notes.

After waiting for a year during Covid, I wrote a snail mail letter to IRCC, addressed to the officer who had interviewed me. My file had been gathering dust with no action.
The letter was received, noted, request for expedited processing denied and the physical letter attached to my file.
Two weeks later, my paper file moved to an ‘ageing inventory’ list. Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe it got some attention.
I would highly recommend requesting IRCC politely for an expedited processing and then a couple of weeks later requesting for ATIP notes and see where it goes.
At worst, it will continue to move at the current glacial pace, or maybe it might get some attention. $5 for ATIP and $1.47 for a postage stamp is worth a shot.

Dealing with government departments anywhere is a patience game esp coming from India where bureaucracy has been perfected to an art form.
This is TOTALLY out of your sphere of influence. There is enough stress in my life and I have no desire to add this to the list of things that could keep me awake.
So pour yourself a stiff one and relax because fretting will only make you lose sleep. Sean Fraser will not change policy / speed because there are outliers like us in the system.
I had emotional reasons for requesting urgent processing - haven’t seen my family in India since 2016, but that didn’t cut ice with IRCC, so here I am.

One problem - We cant even get gcms notes now to know more. Even thats blocked. Seems that they want to keep the processing of citizenship application so secret that we wont reveal the golden processes to other country(so that other countries wont become a developed country within a year) ;)

Yes, CIC is a dead snake. Cant make them do anything on time for some.
True, govt depts there and here, not much difference in one way.
Good luck on your file. I dont know when this headache will be over....

Oath completed this morning, longer than others have reported. Was on the call by 7;30 am for a 7:45 am oath and ran until 9am. Finally completed a long journey. Now wait begins for citizenship certificate then passport.
