I applied for a young professional visa last month. But I didn't realize that I needed a police certificate for the US where I have visited but not lived for over 6 months in total. I sent in a letter saying I'm applying for a police certificate for Sweden which is my home country. I'm doing biometrics next week. Am I screwed here, will they even notice, or what can I do?

So you visited for more than 6 months in a row on a single trip or cumulatively visited on more than one trip for mor than 6 months ? If latter you do not need an FBI check for IEC as per link

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/iec/apply-work-permit.html#police
In total. The longest is 5 months at one time. But I thought they changed the rule so it is in total and not in a row. I checked my application. And that's what it sais there. But I think I got confused because other places says like your link. That one isn't needed. So I missed it

They changed it back a while ago. Check the date modified at the bottom of the page of instructions - it will tell you if it is up to date or not -

That is super weird. Because on the page for my application it says I need one if I've been in a place 6 months in total. I started the application back in August

It´s not a bad idea to get it anyway. VOs will often ask for the FBI anyway (and it is their right to do so) even if you haven´t spent a full 6 months in the USA...

That makes sense. So chances are they will ask for it and not just reject me outright because I didn't write that I applied for it?
