If I come from a visa-exempt country to Canada as an international student and If my student permit expires and I forgot to extend my student permit, after it expires, will it automatically change to visitor status. From my country people can visit Canada for six months as a visitor without visa.

No, if your study permit has expired, you have no status.
Visitor status is granted at a border entry point. You do not automatically acquire status simply by being citizen of visa-exempt country.

Nothing happens automatically. You are out-of-status

As others have said, no. You will be out of status as soon as the study permit expires and any studying or working will be considered as illegal / unauthorized. This may also impact your ability to get a PGWP so super important to renew your study permit on time.

Is this a hypothetical question (you say “if”) or did your study permit expire?
