Foreign police record check

Hi guys, i've recently revisited my application and figured i didnt provide a Criminal record check from China. I lived there for 9 months on an exchange throught my school's program.

I guess cic will ask for it sooner or later. I ordered one through a company specializes in obtaining record check and my company uses them to do record check on employees. I provided them my passport # and ordered it on my own. Is this good enough? I looked on cic website and they said you have to ask someone to act on your behalf in china and bring copy of your passport to the police station. Unfortunately i have no one i can trust with my identity document in china.

Use of a service to process your request is acceptable, as long as they produce the right document.
