Can you please tell me by what date i can expect the reply as i m very much excited to receive it. one more thing i have observed while giving medicals that my 1 year child DOB was misprinted eventhough medical was completed. Will this affect the status and the progress of the status???

You must Had intimate CHC about the wrong DOB of your Baby.

Well wont waste your time, i have submitted my medicals, PP and RPRF on 29th December, now still the status shows IN PROGRESS, canyou please let me know the time duration when shall i get the reply and receipt. My Draft for RPRF was encashed on 8th Jan X.

they will change the status to decision made before sending passport
so waiting for it
also, amazed by how many people on this form send their passports in last 30-45 days - it might be the cause of wait

yes correct i agree with you jckdry.. there are many PPR and many have sent their PP for stamping. That might be the cause of delay. Decision gets updated on every tuesday.

After collecting my docs from the last 4 months, I was able to send my Documents yesterday to CHC New Delhi.

Now I can only wait and hope for good.

Is there anyone who can tell me approximately how long that wud take for me to receive any reply.

Also reply wud in the form of email or letter.

I was really happy when I saw this thread. Thanks to all.

My issue is that I sent my medical test forms on 10/09/2009 .They were delivered to London after one day 11/09/2009. After nearly one month exactly on 25/10/2009, I received a letter of visa notification from the high commission saying that I should submit my passports and photos for all my family members to the high commission in London. i sent the passports on 27/10/2009. I waited for the passports for more than 2 months, which is unusual I think, then I sent an email to them to inquire about the passports. They sent me back this email.

“
This is to advise that further background checks are required before we can proceed with visa issuance. Please confirm if you would like us to retain your passports while these checks are being conducted, or if you would like them returned to you to be requested at a later date.”

Actually, I was really confused. Now it's been three months since I sent my passports. I sent them an e-mail saying that I'd like to have my passports back. They sent me the passports without the visa. Is this normal? Should I be worried about this? Please help.

it's absolutely fine. they send back ur pp as u asked them to. don'y worry, they will request ur pp on a later date when they r ready to issu u visa. till then have faith.

wait for atleast 3-4 months to get med/ppr request by letter.

Sorry for replying a bit late...You need to inform the CHC regarding the DOB mistake...otherwise they will print the same thing in the landing papers and you will need to send them again for corrections..so better inform them now through e mail...Hope u hear the good news soon...good luck
