A deferral in start-date is between you and your DLI. It shouldn’t affect your study permit application, though if you defer your start-date by 150 days or more, you’ll need to send us a new acceptance letter from your DLI.

Yes this is correct. But the only problem that you have is after your visa and study permit expires. You have to extend it again with payment of fees since the documents are based on your old LOA. It’s better to send a new LOA as to save you from that and also to save you from queries from CBSA about the inconsistencies in LOA and visa.

yeah bro i actually deffered before AIP and then got my AIP on sep 3rd but today only i received my new loa from the university

Yes, I agree. If you want to play safe, you can send the new LOA. But this tweet shows that deferral after AIP does not affect your application since it is between you and your DLI.

But the problem is when we called ircc customer care they told they have not received any updated LOA yet and they again sent me the link and asked me to resend that again.

I have sent my new LOA through webform. How do I know, that IRCC has received my new LOA, Do they send any acknowledgement email? My agent uploaded the new LOA along with the screenshot that I've dropped out of Jan 2021 semester.
But I did not receive any confirmation.

Yes, they will send acknowledgement but not sure about the timeline. I am still waiting for their mail, have uploaded on 5th February.
