In most cases, you don't have to inform IRCC for deferral if the program starts with in 150 days of when institute confirms deferred enrollment.

I deferred from Fall 2020 until January 2021, and it is now under review. I believe it was immediately updated to under review after they sent me an email confirming the receipt of my new LOA, and that was around August 29 or August 30.

I called the IRCC customer care to check the status of my application. As I received the AIP n my agent had sent tge deferred LOA through webform. The IRCC agent confirmed that my application has got positive response i.e AIP. However the LOA updated through webform is not received. It was sent on 28th August!! She asked me to raise another webform !!
I am trying to raise a webform which has two options to select applying outside Canada or Canada. But I'm not sure which option to select as my agent had applied it online n I don't know which location to select I e Bangalore or delhi. Can anyone suggest?

I sent a new LOA through a webform. In 8 days I received an email from the IRCC agent that my documents were transferred to the officer responsible for my application. That is all. I have not had any visible changes in my IRCC profile.

I’m really afraid right now. Some people are saying that it is an automatic refusal if you defer your intake after receiving AIP. That you must provide reasons of why you are deferring and the reasons must not be (time difference, non refundable, weak internet connection).
