for pnp and express entry applications, is it recommended to use a LAW firm or LAWYER...or do everything on your own?

This is up to discretion, you know your situation. having said that, you may do all the steps yourself, you don't need any lawyer through all the process;however, if you can afford paying law firm then it would be better since they know what they are doing and it is just a routine for them.
