For CEC - Background check in NA for long time after med passed? Dont worry it is still in progress

Hello CEC inland candidates,

CEC candidates who are all waiting for long time (2 months in my case) to see BG check changes from NA to IP1 after medical passed and frustrated about their application status, dont work your BG is still under process.

I called CEC today and tell them about my situation on BG status. My medical is passed on April 7 and BG is in NA and nothing changed for 65 days. I also mentioned him that my BG not even changed to IP1. However, he informed me that my criminality is passed and the security check is not started, which means my BG check is being conducted though CIC did not update my profile.

I think, this is applicable for most of CEC inland candidates.

If your BG is not updated for long period of time, dont worry, it is still in progress...

My background status only changed once when meds was passed (We're processing your background check...). It stayed this way until I got PPR. It's nerve-wracking not to see any updates in your account but just have faith everything is going smoothly

So excited to wait for PPR! I guess it's going to be either this Friday or next!
