Flying with COPR and Work Visa

Hello all,

I am a new permanent resident and did my landing on September 4. I got an email saying my PR photos were rejected and I resubmitted photographs on November 5.

I have tickets to fly over the Christmas break, and it appears that my PR card will not arrive in time. I have my COPR and a workers visa in my passport that is valid is 2019. It was not striked or stamped cancelled during my landing.

I was wondering is anyone has travelled before on a workers visa and COPR, and if there is any information on CIC regarding the legality of such a travel.

Thanks,

Technically if you could get to the border with your passport and COPR, CBSA will let you in.
Legally, your TRV is no longer valid once you become a PR. So if you manage to get on the plane and fly to Canada, that may raise some questions
I'd suggest you apply for PRTD, or alternatively fly to US and cross the border on land.
