Hey Everyone,

I'm going for flagpoling tonight for my new closed work permit. I applied online on 14th march 2017 but accidently used wrong LMIA exemption code, now no reply from CIC yet on the application , so I'm planning to do flagpoling today as my permit is expiring on 30th april. (I already got new offer of employment number with correct LMIA exemption code)

Here are the list of documents I'm carrying with me:

- Passport (original)
- Current valid work permit (original)
- PNP certificate and Work permit support letter from province (copy)
- Employer compliance fee receipt (copy)
- CIC employer email copy showing the Offer of Employment Number. (The one starts with Axxxxxxx)
- Resume
- Job Offer Letter
- AOR copy (in case they ask)
- Emedical copy (in case they ask)

Is any other document required? Any input will be appreciated.

Congratulation!!! I am so happy for you.
To flagpole, does one need a USA visa? Not that I'm planning to do same, but I am just curious.

No, US visa is not required to do flagpoling. US visa will be required if someone plans to stay in US for some days and then decide to come back to canadian side to do flagpoling.

Hi I am from a non visa exempt country but have approved LMIA and visitor visas both to Canada and US. I intend to arrive in Canada by air on my visitor status and then do flagpoling at the Vancouver border
It is hard for e to decipher whether it is allowed or not
What documents do I need

Is a medical exam required for a work permit application at a POE. I know some job fields its required but what about for ones that it ain't needed for?

Did you take any IMM forms filled out before hand to the POE for the work permit application? Also was the medical required before hand?
