Flagpole with ESTA refusal?

Hello friends,

Wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation... I am needing to do a flagpole run - however I had some ESTA visa issues at the US border, and was ultimately refused entry. If I head to the border to do a flagpole run, with no intention of entering the US and just turn around, am I going to be given a hard time/ be reprimanded by US Customs? I really don't want to have to flagpole to Mexico and back.

Hard to answer without more info. Why are you flagpoling? Do you have valid status in Canada? If you are non-visa exempt, do you hold a valid multiple-entry visa?

I need to flagpole so I can activate my second IEC visa

You should have zero issues doing that.
