Hi,

I (british) coming from temp work permit wish to apply for prv with my common/law partner (french) or sponsor her, yet our lifestyle doesnt seem to fit with the definition of article 5.34 (common/law partners). As we have been doing humanitarian work for over a year both in which we have been living together (in Congo and Sudan) but all expenses (housing, food, transport, etc) are covered by the respective NGOs we work for hence no proof of common affairs besides our holiday bills. Yet we have been under the same roofs (or tents in some places), or just about, when not in the field (a week or two at a time) for over 12 months. Does this mean we have to get married? would we still be able to defend our case?

Thanks.
