My husband, who is a Filipino citizen, is applying for the first time for a tourist visa to Canada. We have no kids.
I’m a Norwegian citizen currently living and working in the Philippines (3 years). My husband has been to Norway 2 times already. The 2nd time we went to Norway we got married.
We are planning to go to Canada in December, to attend my cousins wedding. We’re just planning to stay there for 5-6 days. We will be staying at my cousins house.
I know it’s probably a case to case basis, but how much money does he need to have on his account? Will it help to have my cousin write an invitation letter? (My cousin already attended our wedding, so they have already met.) My problem is that he doesn’t have any saved money on his account. Reading through several posts, it seems to be irrelevant to inform them that I am going to be sponsoring him.
My husband owns a car, and has been with the same company for 3 years. He has lived in Saudi for a year. For the last 2 years, we’ve already been to Europe twice (France, Italy, Norway, Spain)and already been to HK and BKK.
Any tips guys?
