Hi all,

I posted this one in EE thread but figured it makes more sense to post it here. I landed as an outland applicant on September 15th in Vancouver, and linked my pr card application to gckey the same night. On september 25th, I logged into my gckey and found out that it showed "final decision-september 25, 2025, your application is in progress, will let you know once a final decision is made". As far as I know, I should receive an approved fd notice and mailout notification in a few days, at least that's what happened to my friend's case. But my case got stuck since then. I learned that canada post has been on strike since september 25th, I wonder if it got anything to do with it.

It was normally taking 1-2 days between GU1 (the final decision message) and GU2 (PR card mailed), but they stopped sending GU2's since the start of the strike.

Hi just want to put together what I‘ve learned so far...

I called IRCC yesterday and was informed that my card had been mailed out on September 29, which was to my surprise because I didn't get gu2 in gckey, which was also the reason why I didn't believe the IRCC agent 100%. Anyway, I sent a webform to confirm the mailout but received a generic response 12 hours later.

I've seen people contacting IRCC and was informed that their cards have been sent to nearby ircc office for further pick up, and they will receive email notification about how to pick it up in person, which makes me wonder why my card got mailed out instead of being sent to office for pick up.

I guess I would trust the agent and wait for the card to show up in the mail box for now.
