Hi

I just get approved for PR under express entry cic and I am expecting to receive Pr card in 2 months. After that , I am planning travel outside of Canada about 2.5 months. Just wonder if there is any issues with my Pr status if i do so ? I know My OHIP coverage doesn't allow me to do that as there is restriction of at least 184 days must be resident in Ontario . Otherwise , They will suspend my OHIP coverage

Thanks in advance for any advice

You can leave and come back to the country as much as you want, all you need to do is to accumulate 730 days in the 5 years from the date you initially land. After first 5 years it becomes a rolling 5 years that you need to accumulate 730 days.

In theory you could be out of the country for near 3 years but then you would need to stay for 2 years without leaving at all.

When you leave the country make sure each time that you have your PR card with you as you will need that to be able to board a plane to return as well as passport of course.
